Eye ShadowsEyesMakeup

Nars usually comes out with a great eyeshadow palette for the holidays.  The Nars Stargaze Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette for this year, Holiday 2022, is no acception.  The palette, limited edition for the Holiday 2022 season, has 12 shades.  There are five matte , four shimmer, two satin and a glitter shade.  The shades are richly pigmented, and the palette includes velvet neutrals, and shimmering pops of color!

You can find the Limited Edition Nars Stargaze Eyeshadow Holiday 2022 Palette on the Nars Cosmetics Website.  The Stargaze Palette (12x 1g/0.03 oz.) costs $60.

The outer packaging box is Nars black, imprints of grey stars all over, and Nars written in capitals across the front, and the writing is in white.  The outer box is recyclable. The Nars plastic packaging is often made from #1 (PET) or #5 (PP) plastics and is recyclable.  NARS has partnered with TerraCycle and the Plastic Soup Foundation to divert cosmetics containers from landfills, incinerators, and oceans through a recycling program that reuses these materials for consumer products.  Finally, the plastic case is recyclable. The case has gold stars, surrounding the gold Nars logo, all over the front cover. There is a spot in the center, where the two sides of the palette meet, for you to gently pull the lid open, and you will hear a subtle click.  To close the compact  push the lid  down until you hear a louder click. Inside, underneath the lid is a nice, full-sized rectangular mirror. On the other side of the mirror are the 12 eyeshadow pans.  The pan layout is three horizontal rows of four shades each.

The formula is buildable, easy to blend, and layer. The shades are richly pigmented, and have great color payoff.  The mattes are soft and creamy with no kickback at all, and have medium to opaque color coverage that is  buildable. Satins and metallics are smooth blendable, and  pigmented. THE NARS  shimmery finishes, “melted” on the face because they lay down so smoothly .Also I was impressed that the shadows didn’t fade, or move for hours, and lasted all night, until I washed it off.

The Stargaze Eyeshadow Palette Shades

Top Row Across (left to right)

The Shades in the Top Row are Hayworth, Heartbreak, Hollywood Lover and Nouvelle Vague..

Hayworth

Hayworth, an antique gold shade, has a glitter finish.  For a multi-dimensional look, wear the glitter shade on top of the other shadows.

Heartbreak

A taupe brown shade, has a matte finish.  I like this shade in the crease, or on the eyelids.  Also, wear it on the outer corners of your eyes.

Hollywood  Lover

Hollywood Lover, a soft, cool pink shade, has a shimmering finish.  I like to wear pink shimmer on my eyelids, although you could wear it as a highlighter on your brow bone, and on the inner corners of your eyes.

Nouvelle Vague

Nouvelle Vague, a soft mauve shade, has a matte finish.  This shade is light enough to wear all over your eyes as a base shade..  Or wear it as a transition shade.

Middle Row Across (left to right)

The Shades in the Middle Row are Go Deep, Los Feliz, Instant Stardom, and Lights Out.

Go Deep

Go Deep, a rust amber shade, has a matte finish.  I love this one in the crease, outer corners, and even as an eyeliner.

Los Feliz

Los Feliz, a copper bronze shade, has a shimmering finish.  Beautiful on the eyelids. Or use as a pop in the center of your eyelids.

Instant Stardom

Instant Stardom, a lilac shade, has a satin finish.  Another beautiful shade on the eyelids.

Lights Out

Lights Out, a purple shade, has a shimmering finish.Where this shade in the crease, or all over your eyelids.

Bottom Row Across (left to right)

The Shades on the Bottom Row are Double Trouble, Swoon, Headliner, and Walk of Fame.

Double Trouble

Double Trouble, a deep oak shade, has a matte finish.  Wear this deep oak shade to line your lower lash liners, in your crease, and you can wear it on the outer corners of your eyes.

Swoon

Swoon, a rich eggplant shade, has a satin finish.  Again, this shade is deep enough to wear in your crease, to line your eyes, and to define the outer corners.

Headliner

Headliner, a dirty rose shade, has a shimmering finish.  Gorgeous worn alone, on your eyelids, or wear over another shade on your eyelids.

Walk of Fame

Walk of Fame, an orchid fuchsia shade, has a matte finish. Loving this one in the crease, outer corners, or on the lids, maybe even as a liner? You decide! Read about the coordinating Nars Rising Star Holiday 2022 Cheek Palette Here.
