The kit comes packaged in a cardboard, recyclable outer box. On the front of the box is a picture of the lipstick and the mini lip liner. The picture on the front of the outer box captures the two shades that are inside the box. So, you actually see the shades on the front of the box. On the lid of the box, is the deeper shade of the mini lip liner.
The lipstick comes in a rose-gold tube, with the Anastasia symbol on the top of the case. 
The bottom of the case, where you turn the lipstick up, or down, is ridged. The lid pulls off, and the lipstick bullet has a precise shape that effortlessly glides on the lips, and defines the lip with even application. 
The mini lip wood pencil, isn’t as tiny as you would expect, it looks more full-sized then I thought it would. 
The lip pencil has a square shape to prevent it from rolling, has a lid, that needs to be pulled , NOT TWISTED, off.
The lipstick formula for both the matte and satin shades contains full-pigment color that is long-lasting. The formula is smooth and soft, and feels comfortable on the lips. The formula for the Lip Pencil include full-pigments for shaping and contouring lips. The formula is wax-based, to deliver a seamless, matte finish that won’t feather. The pencil has a creamy, smooth texture for the perfect glide, that doesn’t skip or tug. The pencil application is quick and easy, and it has a fine tip to give extreme precision and crisp lines. The formula contains natural antioxidants. Finally, the pencil has comfortable wearability.

Finally, apply the lip liner first, before you put the lipstick on. 
Keep the liner sharpened for the most precise, sharp lines. Then, start with lining the Cupid’s bow with the lipstick, and fill in the top lip. Then, with the lipstick, outline the bottom lip, and then fill in the bottom lip. I’m a fan, because I love that the lip liner and lipstick are curated to go together, so there is no guessing game there. Also, the formula is so comfortable, the lip liner doesn’t feel dry the formula is creamy, and the lipsticks are comfortable and long-wearing. I especially love how velvety the matte lipstick looks , on the bullet, and on the lips. I hope that Anastasia will come out with more Lipstick and Lip Pencil Duos in different shades!
