What flavor would you like to try? How about a Mojito, or a Root Beer? Or maybe a taste of Strawberry or Spearmint? I’ll have a Pumpkin Latte! I am not asking you what you want to drink, I am talking about Jeffree Star’s Velour Lip Scrubs! Who is Jeffree Star? He is multi- talented, he does just about everything,. He’s from Los Angeles. He is a model, a DJ, an actor, a fashion designer, a singer, a songwriter, and a makeup artist, and now he is in the cosmetic business of making lipscrubs and lipsticks. I watched one of his video’s on You Tube and he is a real character. He’s hilarious! Currently he is on his Extreme Beauty Tour, promoting his Velour Liquid Lipsticks and Lip scrubs! Jeffree is right up our alley, because he is all about social commentaries, and his messages address issues such as; self image,self confidence, fame, beauty and life. Love it, and love him!
Jeffrey created his Velour Lip Scrub to exfoliate your lips so that they become super soft and supple. He wants your lips to be in the perfect condition for wearing his Liquid Lipsticks (which are amazing, I’ll blog about them another time), or for wearing any of your lipsticks. For me, the scrub is amazing for dry winter lips. You know the horrible, and annoying, feeling of chapped lips after being outside in the cold, or inside where the dry heat dries them out? This scrub is a miracle because my lips felt better as soon as I exfoliated them with this scrub.
It is a cinch to use. Take a scoop of scrub out with your finger and rub it, in a circular motion, on your lips. The main ingredients are; Glycerin, Vegetable Sucrose (sugar), Jojoba Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Tocopherol (vitamin E) There are two preservatives in the scrub, Sodium Benzoate (derived from salt) and Potassium Sorbate(to prevent mold). Do this in the morning before you put your lipstick on. It will smooth your lips so that lipstick will slide on and stay put and look flawless. When you are finished exfoliating, you can use a tissue to remove the scrub.Do this again at night when you take your lipstick off. I think it will be really difficult to resist the scrumptious smell, and I know it will make you want to lick it off!

The flavor I chose was Pumpkin Latte. I can not rave enough about the delicious smell of the pumpkin latte that resonated from my pot. It reminded me of the fall , my most favorite time of the year. All I wanted to do was eat it, it smelled that good. It smells just like the real thing! Well… guess what? These pots of deliciousness are edible! And they taste just like they smell. I tasted pumpkin latte sugar on my lips.
Jeffree has given us a real treat with this lip scrub. The packaging is eye catching, a bubblegum pink box, with a gold star on the front, and a picture of the drink you choose on the top. The tub is also bubblegum pink. This lip scrub is a fun way to heal your chapped lips, or prep your lips before you apply your lipstick, or if you just want your lips to be beautiful, soft and supple. You’ll lose all your self control because you won’t be able to resist the urge to lick it off! YUM! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
