Gucci Westman Atelier New Rendez-Vous Eye Pods

Eye ShadowsEyesMakeup

Have you tried any of the Gucci Westman Atelier makeup yet?  My favorite products are the Gucci Westman Atelier Makeup Sticks.  Newer product include a Westman Atelier nude suede lip compact. Also knew to the line are the Squeaky Clean Liquid Lip Balm  and two Westman Atelier Eyeshadow Pods.  Now, Westman Atelier has released Rendez-Vous, a new eyeshadow pod “palette”shade.  Westman Atelier is known for their unique, portable packaging. Also, Gucci is the queen of the no-makeup-makeup-look!  Therefore, her luxurious , clean, vegan makeup is good for your skin. And, the shades tend to be translucent. Even more, Gucci Westman Atelier Makeup is easy to use!

You can find the Westman Atelier New Rendez-Vous Eye Pods at Goop, Sephora, Violet Grey, and Westman Atelier.  The Rendez-Vous Eye Pods (.08 oz. / 2.4g) costs $88.

Packaging

Unique packaging sets these eyeshadow “palettes” apart from all other brands!  First, the pods come in a box that reminds me of a European Small Box of Chocolates.  Inside the box are three pods.  These pods were curated to act as a palette.  Each of the pods is in a different color. Therefore, the Rendez-Vous Pods are metallic gold, metallic silver, and lacquered taupe shades. This let’s you know what color is in a particular pod.  Also, you can seperate a pod, throw in your handbag, and touch up with the shade throughout the day.

The pods have lids that twist off.  Then, when you twist the lid back on, make sure you hear a click. Once you hear the click, you know the pod is closed tightly. Furthermore, you can stack the pods.  This is because the pods are magnetized.  As a result, they stick tightly together. Although, they are easy to pull apart.

Formula

The Gucci Westman Rendez-Vous Eyeshadow Pods ingredients

To begin with, Gucci Westman is all about your skin.  Therefore, her makeup makes your skin look like skin, but better.  Moreover, her clean, vegan beauty is cruelty free.

Additionally, Gucci designed these velvety cream-powder hybrid shadows for three characteristics.  First, they feel comfortable on the skin.  Next, they blend easily.  And, third, they have rich color payoff.

Silky emollients from coconut oil, and fatty acids replace silicone. In this way, the shadows still have slip and blendability.

Even more, featherweight rice starch and plant extracts give you a velvety smooth application, which feels like a second-skin.

Then unique oil-gel suspension system binds the pigments together.  As a result, they have an elastic-cushiony sensation and a luminous melting finish.

In a way, you could describe the formula as feeling like playdough.  Finally, the creamy formula has great staying power.

Rendez-Vous Shades

First, Bonne Chance, a khaki green shade, has a luminous finish. Bonne Chance is the Core shade in the palette. Next, Frappe, a mink brown shade, has a luminous finish.  Frappe is the Accent Color in the Rendez-Vous Palette. Last, Bisou, a golden peach shade, has a luminous radiant finish.  Bisou is the highlighter in the palette.

Again, there are three eyeshadow pods in each palette.

First, there is a Core shade.  You would use the Core shade as your eyeshadow base.

Also, you could wear this shade as your smudgy liner.

In addition, each palette includes one Accent color.

This accent shade is your pop of color. Last, there is a highlighter in each palette.  Use the highlighter to brighten your eyelids.

Also, use this shade in the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bones.

My Final Thoughts On The Westman Atelier Rendez-Vous Pod Palette

Remember, Gucci Westman is not Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath or Nars.  Duochromes are not in Gucci’s vocabulary.  But, the pods are great if you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup.  Maybe, you want a touch of translucent color, and a glimmer, not a shimmer!  The shades are beautiful. And, they work well for a no makeup makeup look.  A full on color look?  Nope!  I really wanted to try using my fingers to get more pigments.  One, the pods are too small for finger swatches.  Plus, if you have any fingernails at all, you will just scrape the shades.

Swatches Top is the Core Shade, Middle is the Highlighter, and Bottom is the Accent shade.

Fingers don’t work.  The less is more ladies are gonna love the pods.  They are subtle, and they apply very, very sheer. I wet my brush to get more color payoff for the swatches.
