Uh Oh! Pinky and I did it again! Got ourselves in all kinds of trouble! ( Makeup Trouble that is!) We had an amazing time at our Sephora, playing makeup with our favorite Sephora girls! As bad as we were, it was really exciting! We were the first to uncover the newest Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks!
God Bless our amazing girls at the Sephora in King of Prussia: Danielle, Dina, Shana, Dominique and Meredith!! They are the best of the best! On this trip they were so generous (as they always are) that they brought out the newest lipsticks from Make Up For Ever. They haven’t launched yet, but by the time you read this they will be on the shelves. We went through the boxes with the girls, who didn’t even have testers yet! We had so much fun discovering this new lipstick. We wanted to share it with you first!
The New Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Lipsticks are sold at Sephora for $22. The lipstick comes in two formulas. The creamy formula has 32 shades that include a wide range of colors that cover all of the color families. The matte formula includes 15 flattering shadesin a wide range of color as well.
Color Swatches include a wide range of colors, in both the cream and matte formulas. The colors are bold, intense and opaque. Here are just a few. The girls made some testers, so Pinky swatched a few as they were being made.
The lipstick packaging is brand new. Pinky and I love it! We think the bullet’s new look is really awesome.
The bullet is unique, it is shaped for highly precise application ( to make the actual lipstick application easy). It works well because the lipstick glides on with one single stroke, The bullet is also meant to target the lips to create incredibly bold coverage.
Both the Cream and the Matte formulas are ultra-creamy and extremely hydrating for the lips. The formula is long wearing, and it never feels dry. It doesn’t bleed nor feather.
Pinky’s choices were a Cream on the left, and two Mattes , one in the middle. and the other on the right.
Starting at the left is C107 -a mocha beige cream, the middle is M200 – a powder pink, and on the right is M100 a cream colored beige in the matte formula.
The Matte formula leaves an ultra-velvet matte finish of intense color on the lips. It glides on with one single stroke. It feels comfortable and the lips feel moisturized. And, it stays on for up to ten hours!
The cream formula leaves a silky-smooth, creamy satin finish on the lips. It imparts bold, vivid coverage and it hydrates the lips.
I chose a gorgeous Rose Wood color , C211, in the cream formula.
The swatch of C211, Rose wood color is creamy and highly pigmented. It was applied, by me, perfectly in one stroke.
What we (Pinky,my daughter in law, and I) love about the New Artist Rouge High Pigmented Lipstick is……..the formula is exceptional. The lipsticks melted into our lips, it did not sit on top of our lips. We love that both the cream and matte finishes are moisturizing and hydrating our lips. The formula feels extremely comfortable on our lips. We love the intensity of the pigment, the wide range of colors, the boldness, and the opaqueness of all of the colors. We love the look of the saturated color on our lips! We think the unique bullet packaging is really awesome looking, and it gives the applier (us) an exact, precise application in one easy swipe, and… we love that it stays on and it never feels dry!
