The Greatest Setting Powder Ever : RCMA Setting Powder

FaceMakeupPowder

What fifty something year old makeup product could possibly be in such high demand that Beautylish has to pre-sell it,  knowing it would be a sell-out in a matter of minutes?  The Original RCMA  No Color Powder (Beautylish 3 0z  bottle for $12, 3 oz Duo for $24, and 3 oz Trio for $36 )  is still in every makeup artist’s kit today! That’s what makes  RCMA powder remain the cult classic it has been for more than fifty years.

RCMA was invented by the 1960’s by legendary makeup artist Vincent JR Kehoe who felt, as a makeup artist, he worked too hard  to apply the perfect makeup look for his clients only for it to be spoiled when he applied setting powder.  The client’s foundation changed color!

We all know how difficult it is to find a  foundation color that matches our skin perfectly,  right?  So why would anyone want to alter that color by applying a product that was going to change that color?  It just doesn’t make sense!  And it didn’t make sense to Kehoe either!

Kehoe created the perfect universal setting powder for all skin types. And the reason his creation was and still is the industry’s most popular setting powder – it works! It never changes the color of your foundation. Never ! Why? Because there are no pigments included in the powder.  Most setting powders include flesh colored pigments.  The pigments are what changes the color of your foundation!

The actual color of the powder is white.  However, once this loose powder is applied, it softly adheres to the face  and appears translucent- meaning it never appears white on the skin.  Instead it creates an air-brushed finish that lasts all day.

There are no pigments, fillers, or perfumes in the powder.  What’s in the powder is premium- grade, super-finely milled talc mixed with a lightweight Silica.  The talc is so finely milled it feels like velvet.  Although it is a white powder, when applied to the skin it becomes translucent.  It doesn’t settle in your pores or in the creases of your face.  It never cakes.  It lasts all day!  And it stabilizes your foundation color throughout the day.

This is my go-to setting powder!  I love it!
