Hourglass New Voyeur Waterproof Gel Liner

EyelinersEyesMakeup

Think of Eyeliner as the ” little black dress” in your makeup drawer!  My favorite eyeliner was the Marc Jacobs eyeliner, which is no longer available.  So, I finally found my new favorite eyeliner, the New Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Gel Liner. Hourglass Nailed it with this Waterproof, Gel liner!  The one reason I prefer a gel to a liquid eyeliner, or a pencil eyeliner, is the Gel Eyeliner gives you a precise, steady line, which you’ll need to create any eyeliner look.  And, the soft gel glides on, making it so easy- anyone can use it.

Your eyeliner is your tool for creating various looks, and to highlight different features of your eyes.  If you want your eyelashes to look lush, draw eyeliner above and below the lashes, and tight-line your waterlines.  Also, draw attention to to your eyes, by enhancing them, or changing their shape, to create different looks, with a winged eyeliner, a cat eye liner, or a tight line in your waterline.

You can find the Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Gel Liner at Sephora, Ulta, Neiman Marcus, and on the Hourglass Cosmetics Website.  The Voyeur Gel Liner (o.o1 oz./0.32g) costs $28.

The Hourglass Voyeur Waterproof Gel Liner outer box is signature Hourglass gold metallic, with black writing.

The eyeliner pen is gold, and the base twists up, and  down to dispense the liner. The eyeliner has a point, that is soft, so you can line your eyes from different sides, around the point, to keep the point sharp. That is the one problem with a soft gel formula, the point gets soft, and round. Also, the pen has a lid, that keeps the product from drying out, so remember to put the lid back on. The pen is easy to grip, which makes the gel application more precise.

The formula is highly pigmented, to give you good color payoff.  The liner really packs a punch!  The soft formula glides onto the eyes, easily, and creates a smooth sharp line.  The formula doesn’t tug on the eye, or skip.  The  long-lasting, formula doesn’t budge, and is smudge-resistant.  The creamy tip of the pen doesn’t break off!  The cruelty-free formula is vegan.  Also, the formula is waterproof, and gives you long, 12 hours wear-time.  Finally, the formula is free of Gluten, Parabens, Phthalates, mineral oil, sulfates, SLES, and contains less than 1% synthetic fragrance. Finally, the formula is buildable, doesn’t smudge, fade or bleed. Even more, the formula is not wet, nor is it too stiff and dry.

The Shades

I purchased three of the five shades in the Collection.  Also, the collection includes four matte finishes, and one metallic finish. I purchased Forest, Solstice, and Obsidian.  The shades I did not purchase are Cave, a brown matte, and Chestnut, a Chestnut matte.

Obsidian

Obsidian Swatch

Obsidian, a black shade, has a matte finish. You can never have too many black eyeliners!

Solstice

Solstice Swatch

Solstice, a bronze shade, has a metallic finish.  I love wearing this shade in the summer.  It looks great with a tan!

Forest

Forest, an emerald shade, has a matte finish.  This is a dark green shade that would make a great  replacement if you are looking for something other than black!

If you loved the Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner, you are really going to love this even more-no smudging, no raccoon eyes,
