The Holiday Season has been a buy time for Bobbi Brown! I have already reviewed two of their Holiday Palettes. First, I loved the sparkling jewel tones in the BB Luxe Gems Eyeshadow Palette. Next, I also liked the fall colors in the BB Autumn Avenue Palette. Another palette, also part of the Holiday Collection, is the Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash.” I think that “In A Flash” is a cross between the sparkling gems, and the spicy fall palettes. For one thing, it has jewel tones, neutrals, golds, and spicy brown shades. Also, the Autumn Avenue Palette inspiration came from the streets of NYC. Now, the “In A Flash” Palette’s inspiration also came from a famous NYC street. In fact, the sparkling lights on NYC’s 5th Avenue inspired the color story for the “In A Flash” Eyeshadow Palette !
Moreover, “In A Flash” is a 12-pan eyeshadow palette that is more versatile than the other two palettes. The reason is, it is a mix of everyday colors and bold glittery shades. So, you can wear the neutral mattes for every day, and at night, you can amp up your look with the bold metallics! Furthermore, it is the perfect palette to wear next week. I hope you didn’t forget that it is New Years Eve. And, whether you go out on the town, or a quiet dinner and a movie, you can wear this palette!!!!!!
Even better, the palette used to cost $59. However, Now it is on Sale at Bloomingdales, Macy’s , Nordstroms, and on the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Website for $40. Therefore, it is a great value! And, it is so worth it for this palette.
Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash” Packaging
First of all, I loved the holiday packaging for this years BB Collection. For one thing, I love that the packaging is festive. The outer box has, an angled mirror design.
Even more, when the angles hit light, they reflect the light. As a result, the angles, when light hits them, create iridescent holograms.
It looks really cool. Inside, the palette is large. Also, it has a tight magnetic closure. Also, the 12 pans are a nice size. And, my favorite requirement, it does have a nice full-sized mirror!
The Formula For Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash”
The pressed powder eye shadows have rich, bold pigments. Furthermore, the formula includes talc. So, if you can’t wear talc, this is a no go for you! Also, the formula is creamy and silky. As a result, the shadows are easy to apply, and easy to layer. In fact, you can layer the different finishes to create more dimensional looks. Additionally, the shadows are buildable. Although, you will have some fallout. Therefore, put the rest of your makeup on after you do your eyes. However, this palette’s quality is really good.
The Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash” Shades
First, Daybreak, a light peach shade, has a creamy matte finish. I like to use Daybreak as a base shade. Use it all over your eyelids, and up to your brows.
Next, Gilded Honey, an antique gold shade, has a chrome metallic finish. First, I love Gilded Honey all over your eyelids. Then, I like to use it in the outer corners of my eyes. And, I would also use it to line my lower lash lines. This would make a great, one color and done, eye look.
Third, Midnight Burgundy, a deep burgundy shade, has a satin finish. One way I would wear this deep burgundy shade is in the creases of your eyes. Next, wear it on the outer corners of your eyes. Also, use it to line your lower lash lines.
Fourth, Crystal Ball, a beige shade, has a matte finish. First, Crystal Ball makes a good transition shade. Also, you can use it all over your eyelids as a base shade. Also, wear it as a highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes, and under your eyebrow arch, on your brow bones.

So, I would wear the Navy Metallic shade all over my eyelids, in the outer corners of my eyes, and to line my lower lash lines. However, if you are not a Blue Eyeshadow kind of person, then use it as an accent color. Line your upper and lower lash lines with Electric Blue. Also, you could wear it on the outer corners, and outer V of your eyes.
To begin, Speakeasy Sparkle, a brown with gold sparkles, has a metallic chrome finish. First of all, Iwould love to use this sparkling brown/gold shade as an accent color for a neutral look. Therefore, I would add Speakeasy Sparkle on the center of your eyelids, to make your eyes pop. Also, you can use it on the outer third of your crease, over a matte shade. Also, I would love to line my lower lash lines with it. Or, use it on the inner third of your eyelids. Also, use it on the outer third of your eyelids.
Second, Nude Petal, a medium pinky/peachy shade, has a matte finish. First, I like Nude Petal on the eyelids. You could use it as a base if you are going to do a deep, dramatic eye. Also, I like it on the eyelids for a neutral day time look. Even more, wear this Nude Petal Neutral shade as a transition shade.
Next, Fireworks, a rusty, deep orange shade, has a matte finish. I would wear Fireworks in the creases of the eyes. Also, wear it on the outer corners of your eyes. Use it to line your lower lash lines. Even more, mix it with some of the metallic chrome, and shimmer shades.
Fifth, Velvet Dusk, a brown shade with red undertones, has a matte finish. First, wear Velvet Dusk in the creases of your eyes. Also, use it to line your lower lash lines. Even more, wear this brown shade in the outer V of your eyes, and connect it to the outer corners of the eyes.
Next, Candied Lilac, a smoky Topaz shade, has a metallic chrome finish. You can wear Candied Lilac in your crease, on the outer corners of your eyes, and to line your lower lash lines. Also, I would like it on the outer third of your eyelids. Also, you could wear it on the inner third of your eyelids, and then add another shade on the outer third.
Finally, Blackout, a deep black shade, has a matte finish. First, use Blackout to add definition to your eyes. Therefore, wear it to line your lower lash lines. Also, put it in the outer corners of your eyes. Also, use it in the outer third of your crease. Even more, wear this black shade to line your upper lash lines.
Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash” Last But Not Least……….
One reason I love the Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Palette “In A Flash” is you can create everyday looks with it. There are enough neutral shades, and matte finishes to create a plethora of daytime eyes. However, you can also create a multitude of evening looks. For one thing, you can mix neutrals, with the metallics to create casual evening looks. Also, you can wear all the glitters and sparkles for fancy New Years Eve Parties, or the disco.
This palette is so Versatile. Another reason I love the palette is the mix of spicy, gold, neutral, and blue shades. I happen to love the colors of this palette. I think this was a sleeper palette. Although, it shouldn’t have been. It has a great formula, and a beautiful color story! And, the best thing is now it is on sale! It was $59. Now it is $40. And, it really is worth it!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Joyous Kwanza. Now, it is time to get ready for the new year! In fact, this new year is the start of a new decade! Wow!
