The New Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette has launched at Sephora, and Natasha Denona. com.
Really, if you love the Original Natasha Denona Sunset Palette as much as I do, then you will want the new mini version for a few reasons. First, the inspiration for the new mini palette was the Original . Second, the Original Sunset Palette is too large for travel. On the other hand, the advantage of being mini-sizes palette makes this palette travel-worthy. Also, the mini is an extension of the original palette’s shades. Hence, the new, curated shades range from dark to light in five warm, glowing colors. Also, the mini’s new color scheme allows you to create a whole new makeup look.
Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette Packaging
The packaging for five new shades is a slim, plastic case.
In addition, not only is the palette mini, they eye shadows are also mini.
To illustrate, I estimate the pans are approximately the size of a nickel.
Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Palette Formulab
Was The Formula Changed?
As a result of the probable reformulation of the mini palette, there has been some controversy . First, many feel that the mattes are dry, chalky, and patchy. Therefore, they feel that the shadows are difficult to blend out. Also, many think that the shadows are not as soft as Natasha’s older palettes. The shimmers also appear to have changed. In fact, the shadows differ from the older palettes because they seem much firmer, less pigmented and less metallic.
Are There Benefits to a Reformulation?
In fact, the price of the mini palette is lower than the norm for ND ($25). As a result, many think the low (for ND) price-tag may have been the reason the formula was altered.
At any rate, change can be a good thing. For example, the original formula had a lot of powder kick-up and mess because the formula was too soft. The new formula has less mess, and less kick-up because the shadows are firmer.
Also, a shadow may not appeal to a wide range of people if it is too pigmented, or too metallic. As a result, the $25 price tag, and the lighter pigments and metallic appeals to a wider audience.
Natasha Denona Mini Sunset Formula Shades
Most of all, I love the Mini Sunset Palette’s warm, glowing curated shades.
The Mattes
There are two matte shades in the mini palette.
First, Guava is a matte shade that is a dirty-peach tone.
Second, Dirty Mars is another matte that is a dirty terracotta shade. To illustrate, use these matte shades to amplify the shimmer shades. First, layer the matte shade on the eyelids. Next, apply the shimmer shades on top of the mattes. Another way to use the mattes is in your crease.
The Metallics
There are three metallic shades in the palette.
Apollo, a bright red brick metallic shade, is gorgeous.
Next, Sunbeam is a rich bronze metallic shade.
With regards to Apollo and Sunbeam, use them as your dominate eye lid color. Alternatively, use them as an accent color. An example of emphasizing an area on the eyes is to apply the shimmers on the outer edges of your eyes.
Also, I would run the shimmer under your eye. And, you can soften these shimmery shades by mixing them with the matte shades. In addition, use them to line your eyes.
Last, Halo is a warm champagne metallic shade. By way of example, I would use Halo in the inner corner of my eye. Also, use Halo to highlight your brow bone.
To Sum Up
In a way, Mini Sunset Palette continues where the original palette left off. The mini includes five new sunset shades. Therefore, I would consider the mini if you want to create another new Sunset look. Furthermore, if you want to try Natasha Denona, without breaking your bank account, the mini is a great palette.
Personally, I recommend the new mini for several reasons. The colors work well together. In addition, they’ll work nicely with other palettes. It is an adorable palette that is great for travel. The $25 price tag is incredible for a Natasha Denovna Eye Shadow Palette. In fact, her holiday 5 palettes cost $48.
Moreover, the Original Sunset Palette, with 15 shades, costs $129. Therefore, after I did the math, the mini shadows are $5 each. he Original Sunset Palette shadows cost over $8 each. And, the shadows in the 5 Palettes are over $9 a piece. Above all, what I love most about the mini palette ,is it has only the shades you’d really want to wear.
