Charlotte Tilbury newly launched the Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir. For one thing, this Crystal Elixir is the brand’s first serum. Until now, her Magic Cream has been the star of her skincare line. I’ve tried the Magic Cream and really liked it. However, the only other CT skincare product I’ve tried is her Collagen Lip bath.
Charlotte also released a new lip product, Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir.
Charlotte’s Magic Serum and Lip Oil are different from other serums, and lip conditioners. One reason is, the Crystal Elixir formulas are magical. This is because the formulas have real crystals in them. According to Charlotte, the crystals work to bring positive energy and healing powers to your skin.
However, whether you believe, or not, in the magic of crystals, should not sway you from trying these products. Crystals are only part of the formula! You can call it a gimmick. Although, it is fun. However, there are some amazing, scientific ingredients in these new products. And, they have been proven to work!
You can find the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, and Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir at Beautylish, Nordstrom, and Sephora. The Magic Serum Crystal Elixir (1.0 fl. oz/ 30 ml) costs $80. The Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir (0.2 fl oz/ 8 ml) costs $40. But, you can purchase both on the Charlotte Tilbury Website, for a 5% discount. Therefore, the $40 Lip Oil, and the $80 Serum will cost $114, instead of $120!
Packaging For Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, and Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir
First, the outer boxes are the same. First, they both come in a shiny white outer box Both have rose-gold writing. And, both boxes have a silver crystal on the front. However, the larger, Magic Serum Box has clinical results on the sides. One side is in English. The other side is in French.
The Magic Serum’s bottle is beautiful. In addition, it looks very expensive.
First, the glass bottle is carved out on the bottom, underneath the bottle itself. In this way, when you look at the bottle head-on, the bottle looks like there is a radiant effect coming from the Serum. Very Clever, and effective. Also, the bottle has rose-gold writing, and a dropper applicator.
The Magic Lip Oil comes in a white tube with a rose-gold, twist on and off, lid. Even more, it has the same crystal design that is on the outer box. Without the lid, the tip of the tube is a clear ball applicator. All you need to do is give the tube a little squeeze, and roll the roller over your lips.
The Formulas For Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, and Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir
Both the Serum and the Lip Oil Formulas are infused with real crystals. Even more, these crystals are considered healing crystals. And, the healing crystals are ruby, moonstone, rose quartz and amethyst. Furthermore, these crystals are supposed to bring out “good vibes.” In addition, the crystals are supposed to bring positive energy and healing powers to your skin. I’ll take it one step further, the crystals are ” supposed to” bring out good skin vibes!
Magic Serum Crystal Elixir
To begin with, the serum has a hydrating, milky formula. Even more, the formula works to give your skin clarity, radiance, texture and resilience.
Moreover, there are some really good ingredients in this Elixir. First, the formula includes Hyaluronic Acid 2.0, which is also named Polyglutamic Acid. What this is is an amino acid from soybean that creates a light-weight veil across your skin. This is a clever ingredient because. the veil locks hydration in 4X more than hyaluronic acid.
Second, Charlotte goes one step further than Vitamin C, she uses Golden Vitamin C. Golden Vitamin C is a silky formula that evens out and brightens your skin tone.
Also, Niaminicide improves the tone of your skin. Also, it reduces the appearance of pore size.
Replexium, a skin boosting peptide blend is designed to firm your skin and reduce fine lines.
Even more, Lotus Plant Extract is included to help support the barrier of your skin so it can remain strong.
Finally, the serum has a creamy texture that absorbs into the skin quickly.
My skin feels really hydrated, and it made my complexion look brighter.
Above all, my skin really does have a great, ethereal-looking glow.
One last thing, the formula does have a fragrance.
It isn’t offending. In fact, it is more spa like than anything else.
And, the formula is Vegan, Cruelty Free and Gluten Free! Yaye! It’s all good!
Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir
The ingredients give the Lip Oil the power of a serum, with the comfort of an oil.
Plus, in the day it conditions your lips. At night it acts as a lip mask. As a result, you get 24 hour lip care. Your lips will feel hydrated, smooth and nourished.
First, the formula includes Sunflower Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Oil, And Camellia Oil. Shea butter is another ingredient. Then, the formula is infused with something called the Magic Matrix of 8. The 8 ingredients include Vitamins C and E; . Moreover, the formula has Aloe Vera and Peptide Plant Adaptogens like Snow Lotus and Resurrection Leaf,. These Plant Adaptogens are resilient forms of nature.
My Final Thoughts on Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, and Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir
The Magic Serum Crystal Elixir can double as a primer. Therefore, you can use it before your foundation, or a tinted moisturizer.
Then, if your skin is dry, you can apply your moisturizer. If you are normal or oily, you won’t need a moisturizer. Also good to know, you can layer the Magic Serum with your other serums. Additionally, all skin types can wear this serum. I know you are going to love how this serum feels. Also, you will love the way it makes your skin glow! Moreover, your skin will look plumper and more resilient over time.
Next, the Lip Oil Crystal Elixir made my lips feel hydrated throughout the day.
Then, I wore it while I slept, and woke up to plump, moisturized lips. I know you will love the way it feels on your lips.
Don’t be too critical of the crystals. I love crystals. In fact, I went to the gem show in Tucson a few years ago. And, I came home with a suitcase filled with crystals. My husband had to pay for extra weight because my suitcase was so heavy. Do I believe they do anything for me aside from looking beautiful on a table? I don’t think so. But, if you believe they do something, more power to you. Although, I feel like it was a great mystical, magical way to promote this Magic Skincare Line of Products.
However, I think her scientific ingredients speak for themselves. Actually, these ingredients are really result-driven. So, let me know what you think in the comments below.
