In the new collection, VB and Estee Lauder Autumn/Winter Collection 2017, the Eye Foils ($40) are back, but rather than arriving in a mascara-like package, they are now in shadow pots. The shadow pots make a huge difference because now the Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Eye Foils are easier to work with. Shadow pots have wide openings therefore, you can use your fingertips or a brush for a more precise application.
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Eye Foils Formula
The formula is a liquid eyeshadow in a molten metal shine. Even after it dries, the finish is brilliant, and vinyl-like. Sparkling pearls look like flecks, and gives the eye foils their liquid metal effect. The formula is crease proof and flake proof. It is also sweat and humidity resistant. The texture is lightweight. It is easy to build. For a daytime look, use a tiny drop of formula and a light hand. A dynamic nighttime look would require you to build with extra layers of the formula. Once the foils dry, they stay on for approximately 12 hours.
Blonde Gold Eye Foil
Blonde Gold Eye Foil is a white gold shade. It looks like a white cream in the pot. On your eyelids you will see tiny gold flecks in the formula. It gives you a wet look with shimmery, vinyl finish.
If you love a strobe highlight on your cheekbones, the Blonde Gold shade would really pack a punch! On your eyelids, the blonde gold eye foil has a molten metal effect therefore giving you a shiny, wet look on your eyelids.
Burnished Anise Eye Foil
Burnished Anise Eye Foil is a gunmetal grey shade. In the shadow pot it looks like wet road tar. Sparkling Pearl Pigments in the formula create gunmetal flecks. Once the Burnished Anise shade is on your eyelids, the gunmetal foil creates a molten effect. The look is Victoria wears the sultry wet eye to all of her red carpet events. She loves the dichotomy between glamour and grime that Burnish Anise creates for her. Afterall, she is still a rock star!
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Eye Foils
Burnt Anise and Blonde Gold Eye Foils go on smoothly and seamlessly. The formulas are richly pigmented and as a result, no application brush is needed. Very little blending is required because the foils melt into your eyelids. The best way to apply the foils is to use your fingertips and pat the foils on. You will achieve a wet shimmery look by dabbing the foils on with your fingertips.
The Eye Foils are fun and edgy for night. For a daytime look apply them with a lighter touch. Let me know what you think about these eye foils in the comments below.
