Hello Monday!  It’s the week before all of the holidays! We are super busy getting ready for the festivities.  So……………….Let’s Do This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Chanel Website introduced three limited edition colors in their Joues Contraste Powder Blush, and a Sunkiss Ribbon Blush Harmony Powder Blush.  I jumped right on them, I just had to have all four!  The colors are absolutely beautiful.  They appeared to be extremely pigmented.  I love pigmented blush because I my sallow olive complexion brightens up instantly.  I purchased them immediately, and only had to wait a few days until they arrived.

They arrived in a Chanel Box wrapped in a red chiffon ribbon with silver shimmered trim.  Very Holiday.  Love the way Chanel packages everything!

Chanel Joues Contraste, Fards A Joues Poudre Powder Blush in limited edition colors 67 Rose Tourbillon, 69 Fleur De Lotus, and 82 Reflex ($45) is their powder blush that comes in a variety of shades .  The limited edition shades looked familiar to me.  I realized then that these limited edition shades were created in 2012 as exclusive shades for Nordstroms.  Chanel reintroduced them online as limited edition colors.

67 Rose Tourbillon looks like a bright hot pink in the pan. It has a subtle gold shimmer.  It is beautiful and it imparts a beautiful glow on your cheeks.

69 Fleur de Lotus is often referred to as a “joyful color.” It is a very pretty coral that gives your face a warm glow.  It is an excellent shade for pale complexions.  I can’t recommend it for the more medium and olive complexions, such as myself.  I had a difficult time trying to swatch this on my are, it looked “barely there.”  Bobbie Jean had to make swatches on a piece of white paper so we could show you the color.

82 Reflex is my favorite.  It is highly pigmented and very shimmery.  It is a peach-rose shade with a copper shimmer.  And girls with Olive Complexions- this one is it!  I love the way it adds a radiant glow and brightness to my face.

These palettes are made with Chanel’s baked powder technology ,which creates the fine, soft powder and a beautiful soft shimmer that characteristically defines the Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush.  The coverage is buildable.  You can go natural or dramatic.  It imparts a radiant glow.  Apply it high on your cheeks and it will lift and soften your face.

Also reintroduced was Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Harmonie De Blush Blush Harmony ($70).  It is an interlaced ribbon design that brightens your cheeks.  The palette is radiant with pink, beige, and coral shades arranged to look as if  ribbons were intertwined. This

palette, aesthetically, is really well done – it is artistic and beautiful. However, as beautiful as it appears in the pan, vibrant, radiant, it didn’t translate well on my olive, sallow complexion. It looked like it would be bright, but in reality, it is soft and light.  It is perfect for a light to medium light complexion -(even though it doesn’t look like that in the pan) I promise you that it is subtle,  and you can’t overdo it, even with a heavy hand.  The quality of the palette is amazing, and it will give you a smooth satin finish and brighten your light to medium complexions.  Not so much for the olive girls.the What do you think about Chanel’s powder blush?

You Are Awesome!
