Metallic EyeShadows Illamasqua New For Fall

The Aftermath Collection from Illamasqua is dark and beautiful and all about molten metallics.  Aftermath includes three new molten lava lipsticks, and also has five metallic eyeshadows.  There are two new liquid metallic shadows, in addition, there are three new powder shades.  I am crazy about metallic, shimmering, sparkly eyeshadows, so I was excited to purchase both of the new two liquid metals, Broken Silver ($26), and Broken Gold ($26).  Also, I purchased one of the three powder shades, Hoard($23).

The Broken Silver and Gold liquid metallic eyeshadows have different sized silver or gold glitter particles that float in a clear, gel formula.  One swipe of the doe-footed wand. and you’ll have a metallic finish.  Continue to add  layers,  consequently will result in a foiled look.  Broken Silver or Gold can be worn alone, or they can be layered over an eyeshadow.  The formula is long-lasting.

These eye gels have a cracked foil formula that results in a shattered effect, hence you can use them for multi-purposes. They look incredible when used  to highlight your cheekbones, the inner corner of your eye,  your brow bone, and your Cupid’s bow. When they catch the light your face will look illuminating.

Broken Gold and Silver are Gel Eye Embellishments, opposite of  creamy, opaque eyeshadows.  They are a liquid veil of sparkling silver, or gold.   If you are expecting them to act as a traditional eyeshadow, this is not the product for you.

Illamasqua is cruelty free makeup that’s main focus is on color.  The shades in the Aftermath Collection are dark and beautiful.  This season, the Illamasqua theme is “embracing the change of seasons.”  The rich earthy shimmers of the powder shadows, and the molten metallics of the lips and eye embellishment shadow toppers were created to help us embrace the light as the seasons start to change.  Winter’s dreariness becomes the Aftermath of a summer filled with light.  The makeup from this collection is “smouldering through, letting light come through, in a time of darkness.
