New Pat McGrath Holiday 2022 Collection MTHRSHP Mega : Celestial Nirvana Palette

Part of the Pat McGrath Holiday 2022 Collection, The New MTHRSHP Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette has just landed on the Pat McGrath Website. The Palette Can be purchased three ways.  First, it comes by itself.  Also, it comes paired with Intensified Eyes, or you can purchase the MTHRSHP Mega Dark Star Color Blitz Kit, that includes the Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette and three new colored mascaras.  I chose to purchase the MTHRSHP Mega Celestial Nirvana Eyeshadow Palette with Intensified Eyes.  The Limited Edition Mega Celestial Palette includes 18 shades, in warm, cool and neutral colorways, that have four luxe satin, matte, metallic and shimmer finishes.  More Holiday products, including blush and highlighters, are coming in October.  I can’t wait!

You can purchase the New MTHRSHIP Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette, by itself, With the Intensified Eyes, or the Mega Dark Star Color Blitz Kit, that includes the Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette and three mascaras on the Pat McGrath Website.  The MTHRSHP Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette (totale 22.7g/0.08 oz.) costs $82.  The Mega Celestial Palette that comes with Intensified Eyes costs $102.  The Dark Star Color Blitz Kit, the Mega Celestial Nirvana Palette that comes with three hypercolor Color Blitz Mascaras costs $152.

The packaging is gorgeous, as always.  The outer carton’s  gold hieroglyphics, framed in gold, are in the center on the front of the outer carton.   Also, the pink carton has an elaborate gold design, with cherubs, hearts and a crown jewels motif.  Maybe for Christmas, although it looks like Valentine’s Day to me.  The palette is also stiff cardboard, with the same design as on front of the palette.  The back has the design that frames 18 circles with the names and location of the shades inside.  And, the cardboard palette has a magnetic closure.  Inside the palette, underneath the lid, is a very very large mirror. On either side of the mirror, and connected to the bottom of the palette, are two ribbons that are supposed to hold the mirror up. On the other side of the palette are the 18 shades in three horizontal rows of six shades each.

The shades come in four luxe finishes, including highlighters, structure builders, satin frost, and gleaming metallics. All of the shades have creamy textures.  The shades are easy to blend, and have one stroke color release and payoff, and they adhere to the eyes beautifully.  There is slight fallout from the metallic shades.  The shadows can be used either wet or dry.  I purchased the palette with the Intensifies Artistry Wand, a multitasker that intensifies metallic and shimmer or sparkling finishes, transforming them into lavish lid embellishments that are longwearing!  The pressed powder formula is free of parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban, triclosan, and contains less than one percent synthetic fragrance.

Finally, I love the color story of this holiday palette.  Insead of the usual magenta, plums and golds, there are more blues greens, and copper shades in the Mega Celestial Palette.  Even more, I love that the shades are cool, warm, and neutral tones that look great together, instead of looking super crazy!  The palette is user friendly, and if you are a beginner, this is an easy palette to start with.  First, there are a wide range of shades that you can use as a one and done shade!  Use your finger to apply the shade, and use a fluffy crease brush to blend out the shade.  Plus, Pat has broken down the palette shades for you, into four different finishes. Go to The Pat McGrath Website and look for the Anatomy of a Palette, where she breaks the shades into four sections: Highlighter, Satin Frost, Structure Builders, and Gleaming Metallics.   I broke down each shade by row, and listed each shade and described the color, and broke them down to which section they fit into, and how to use them according to the section. But, don’t be afraid to use the shades alone, and create gorgeous one and done looks.  You’ve got 18 shades, and right off the bat you can create 18 one and done looks. Also, Pat suggests that you can finish each look by sweeping Cosmic Champagne, Lunar Lavender or Golden Angelica across the center of the lid, brow bone or inner corner to illuminate the eyes.
