Korean Beauty Glass Skin Trending Now

Matte.   Matte foundation, matte powder, matte lipsticks, and matte everything else has been trending for years.  However, now, Korean Beauty is changing that!  In fact, the latest, Korean Beauty Glass Skin, is trending now and becoming popular.  To explain, Glass Skin is a new wave of makeup generation, that is officially in.  Actually, it is really less about makeup and more about a series of beauty steps.

Furthermore, Glass Skin, the latest Korean Beauty Trend, refers to a smooth, flawless complexion that reflects like a piece of glass.  In other words, Glass Skin is Skin that is plump, dewy, smooth, fresh-looking, and pore-less.  One of the ways you can have Glass Skin is to follow a strict regime for effective skin care.  Another way is to combine parts of the K-Beauty Skincare Regime with certain makeup strategically applied.   Aside from a thorough cleansing, and layering products on your skin, the key to Glass Skin is hydration.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step 1 -Double Cleanse

The first step in the Korean Skin Care Regime is the most important.  The step, Double Cleanse, is exactly that.  You cleanse your skin twice..  First of all, Double Cleansing makes a lot of sense.  To begin with, you use an oil-based formula to remove your makeup.  Next, you repeat this step, either using that oil-based formula or a foaming cleanser.The reason for this is to remove your makeup without stripping your skin of essential moisture. My favorite products are the Sulwhasoo Cleansing Oil and Cleansing Foam .

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step 11 – Exfoliate

Exfoliating is the best way to get ultra-smooth, glass-like skin.  The reason is, exfoliation removes dead cells to reveal brighter, more radiant looking skin.  My only suggestion is to look for products with hard-working ingredients like alpha-hydroxy or beta hydroxy acids.  However, make sure the formulas are gentle enough to use every day.  First, after I cleanse, I use Renee Rouleau Mint Buffing Beads ($34.50), and massage into my skin for one minute.  Then I rinse it off. Afterward my face feels smoother, fresher and clearer.  Moreover, it takes away dullness, dryness and reduces clogged pores. I use glycolic acid wipes for under my eyes.  I use Glycolix Elite, 60 pads of 20% Glycolic Acid sold on Amazon for ($34)..  Also, I use Kate Sommerville Exfolicate Gentle ($65) once a week.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin  Step 111 – Essence

First of all, I use Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum, which is also considered an essence.  Essence boosts the skin’s moisture levels.  The essence is super light-weight.  Additionally infused into the essence formula are radiance-boosting ingredients.  Tap it into your skin with our fingertips.  As a result, it enhances the cellular renewal process and increase the elasticity and firmness of your skin.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step 1V – Serum/Sheet Mask

First, put on a hydrating sheet mask when you want to super-charge your skin and give it a dewy finish.  Begin with a hydrating serum like Niod’s Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex Complex 2 ($60).  It offers a ton of skin-care benefits, such as preventing moisture loss. Most of all, because of its low molecular weight, it also offers surface hydration. I have been using TLC Sukari Baby Elephant Mask by Drunk Elephant.  It has 25% AHA and 2% BHA.  It gently resurfaces the skin.  Then put on Dr.Jart Vital Hydra Solution Sheet Mask ($13.23).  As a result your face will be plump and 25% more hydrated.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step V – Moisturizer

Above all, lock in all the goodness with a moisturizer.  The moisturizer should be light-weight and super-hydrating!  I’ve just started using Sturm Face Cream.  First, it is a 24 hour face cream that offers protection from free radicals.  Most important, it hydrates and nourishes the skin, so that it is able to retain its vitality and youthful glow.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step V1 – Sunscreen

You really didn’t think I would forget the sunscreen, did you?  I just purchased By Terry UV-Base Sunscreen Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($55).  It is an invisible sunscreen primer.  So, use it as your next step before applying makeup.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step V11- Hydration/Radiance/Color Correction

Now, for the makeup, I’ve chosen By Terry Brightening Serum Radiance Elixir.  First it blurs imperfections.  Next, it smoothes your features.  Additionally, it fills in the micro-surfaces for a natural looking skin.  Furthermore, it moisturizes, and brightens the skin.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Step V111 – Highlighter

Use either a liquid or a strobe light highlighter.  Then, place the highlighter in strategic places, where the light hits your face. For this I love Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Highlighting Wand, or the Stila Heaven’s Dew Highlighter.

Korean Beauty Glass Skin Last But Not Least………..

If you want Glass Skin, you are going to have to put in some effort.  First, you’ve got to stick to a regimented skincare regime.  In other words, you can’t go to bed with your makeup on-ever!  Instead, you must use multiple layers of hydrating products to make your skin dewy and plump.  On the other hand, you can look like you have Glass Skin by using certain base products, and a dewy looking highlighter.  Then, you can create a Glass-Skin Looking effect!  Winter is Coming!  So, it’s time to start thinking about pale, healthy, dewy skin. Luminescent,Ethereal , Skin that looks as reflective as Glass!
