Hourglass Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit

When I started to film Youtubes, I realized how important it was to have the right lighting.  In fact, the right lighting happens to be Hourglass’ forte!  Actually, if you don’t have a lighting man following you around, Hourglass Powders can do the job!  As a result, I have always been a huge fan of Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palettes.  Each year, for the Holiday Season, Hourglass releases their Ambient Lighting Holiday Collection.  Even more, this year they came out with two Ambient Lighting Palettes.  First, is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting  Edit Sculpture, six Ambient Lighting shades that include blush, finishing, bronzer, and highlighter powders. Next, Hourglass released their Ambient Lighting Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit.  The Mini edit has four shades that will give you multidimensional radiance.THE HOURGLASS SCULPTURE UNLOCKED MINI EDIT OUTER PACKAGING BOX

Even more, the Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit has all the shades you need to create fresh, everyday looks.  Just so you know, none of the shades in this mini palette are new.  In fact, if you own the original Hourglass Unlocked Ambient Lighting Palette, from 2018, these shades were in that palette.

You can find the Ambient Lighting Hourglass Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit at Sephora, Beautylish and on the Hourglass Website.  Also, the Sculpture Unlocked Ambient Lighting Edit Mini ( 4 x 0.04 oz/ 1.4g) costs $58.

Packaging For The Hourglass Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit

First, the packaging for  the  Ambient Lighting Edit Sculpture, and the Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit, is a  plastic, metallic, reflective gold compact.  Then, there is a big H etched in the front of both palettes. And, their is a bunny rabbit in the H!  That bunny symbol tells you that the brand is cruelty free.  This year, the compacts have an architectural element on the covers of the palettes.  To explain, as best as I can, it has some interesting angles on the lid.

Inside, on one side, the compact has a full-sized mirror.  On the other side are the six pans with powders in them.  The palette opens by pulling up on the outer lid.  Then, to close the palette, simple close the lid, until you hear a snap.

Finally, the mini palette is compact.  Therefore, it is easy to carry with you.  Above all, the four shades, in the Mini, are all you need to create a total look.

The Formula For Hourglass Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit

THE INGREDIENTS FOR THE HOURGLASS SCULPTURE UNLOCKED MINI EDIT
INGREDIENTS

To begin with, Hourglass powders are the highest quality, so that they give you a luminous, natural-looking glow.  Also, the soft, blurring technology makes these powders work as well as real, professional lighting!  Even more, the powders are smooth, silky, and they are easy to blend.  Also, the shades blend seamlessly, even if they don’t swatch well.  And, they look powdery on my arm.

Yet, once these powders are brushed onto your face, they meld into your skin and blend seamlessly.  And, the pigments are buildable.  Best of all, you will get a lit from within look that is so natural-looking.

The Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit Shades

All of the shades in the mini palette are meant to be mixed and matched.

Ambient Lighting Powder Soft Light

First, the Ambient Lighting Powder Soft Light, a a soft peach shade that has a warm yellow tone, has a satin finish.  Wear this shade to warm up your skintone.  Even more, this is a great shade for medium, tan and deeper tones.  One of my pet peeves about Hourglass is they don’t usually have shades that go with medium, tan, and deeper skin tones.  Usually, their shades are best for girls with the fairest of the fair, light, and light-medium skin tones.

Wear this Soft Light Lighting Powder all over your face.  I like to put it on over my foundation to set it.  You can also put it on after your makeup, which will set your makeup.

SOFT LIGHT FINISHING POWDER, BRONZER, BLUSH,AND HIGHLIGHTER

So, one reason the Unlocked Palette has been brought back is because it is one of their best selling palettes.  I am thinking that this is so because it caters to deeper skin tones.  Depending on the time of year, I go from Medium-light, to Medium, to Medium-tan, to tan.  So, I can wear some of their other edits, when it is winter, and I haven’t been in the sun for forever.

Ambient Lighting Golden Bronze Light

Next, Ambient Lighting Golden Bronze Light, a coppery gold shade, has a luminous finish with subtle gold shimmer.  Also, fair to tan complexions, can wear this bronze shade.  Also, if you have a deep complexion, you can wear this as a brightening complexion powder.

LEFT FINISHING POWDER, NEXT BRONZER, THEN BLUSH, FINALLY HIGHLIGHTER SWATCHES

Wear the bronze shade to contour and define your face.  I brush some on my temples, on the hollows of my cheeks, and on my jawline.

Ambient Lighting Blush Mood Flush

Then, Ambient Lighting Blush Mood Flush, a warm plum shade, has a radiant finish.  This neutral-toned  blush shade looks good on all skin tones.  Wear this blush on the apples of your cheeks. Often, I will then swipe the brush above my eye crease, to pull the look together.

SWATCHES TOP FINISHING POWDER, UNDERNEATH-BRONZER, THEN BLUSH,LAST HIGHLIGHTER

Ambient Metallic Strobe Lighting Powder in Champagne Strobe

Last, Champagne Strobe, a soft champagne beige shade with a golden undertone, has a satin finish with tiny flecks of silver pearl.

SOFT LIGHT FINISHING POWDER, BRONZER, BLUSH,AND HIGHLIGHTER

Wear the Champagne Strobe on the high points of your face, on your cheekbones, brow bones, down the center of your nose, and on your Cupid’s bow.

My Final Thoughts On The Ambient Lighting Hourglass Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit…..

I am thrilled that Hourglass brought back the much loved Unlocked Palette with the Sculpture Unlocked Mini Edit.  First, everyone can wear it.  It isn’t too light!  Also, I love that you can also use the bronzer on your eyes,in your crease, and to line your lower lash lines.  And, wear the strobe on. your eyelids.  Also, layer the shades.  Build the shades, especially the blush.  You will get color out of it.  There is nothing light great lighting,  and Hourglass does lighting as well as a lighting professional.  And,now, you can do your own lighting, effortlessly!  Also, this is such a pretty palette, it would make a great gift for the holidays.
