Finally I was able to get the New Limited Edition Juvia’s Place The Saharan Blush Palette Vol. 11 ($18) after a long arduous wait! I wasn’t even notified by Juvia’s Place! One of you, my readers, told me how much she loved the Magic Palette by Juvia’s Place that was released in May, and loved it so much she ordered the blush! I was so excited that she loved it because of the blog, and a little bit jealous that she was able to get the blush on her first try, and I have never been able to get anything at Juvia’s Place on my first try. Well, I am happy for her! I wish Juvia’s Place would actually send a signal to her wait list people when the blush, or anything else that is on the wait list, becomes available!!!!!
It was worth the wait! There are two Limited Edition Blush Palettes in The Saharan Collection, Volume 1 and Volume 11. The Saharan Blush Palette in Volume 1 is for women who have a dark, suntanned skin tone. The Saharan Blush Palette in Volume 11 is for every skin tone. Volume 11 is the palette that I purchased.
It is a gorgeous palette of peaches, and pinks. The pigments are phenomenal, they are richly pigmented. There are six highly pigmented shades, four have a matte finish, and two have a duochrome shimmery finish.
Yara is an amber medium brown with orange undertones. It is a blush that could also be used as an eyeshadow, a bronzer, to contour cheeks or in the eye crease.
Sola is a bright pink with an orangey-gold shimmer duochrome with a shimmer finish. It’s super creamy texture makes it great for blending , as a blush, or an eye shadow.
Tau is a burnt orangey peach with a matte finish. It is a beautiful shade on the cheeks, and on the eyelids, or as an accent just above the crease toward the outer corner of the brow bone.
Bee is a deep berry-pink with a matte finish. It is a gorgeous blush, and can be used to contour the cheeks, as well as in the crease of the eye, and slightly above the crease on the browbone near the outer corner of the eye.
Zoba is a light rosy pink shade with a gold shimmery shift duochrome. It is a beautiful blush, can be used as an eyeshadow on the eyelid, or if you are darker-complected or have a tan, use it as a highlighter, or on your lips over a gloss or lipstick.
Leena is a watermelon pink shade with a matte finish. Use it as a blush, or as an eyeshadow.
Juvia’s formula is as good or better as most of my expensive (Tom Ford) high-end (Dior, Chanel) eyeshadows, at a fraction of the cost. It is multifunctional, as it can be used , not only as a blush, but as a contour, a highlighter, and an eyeshadow. I can’t say that for all of the high end blushes. It feels like velvet to the touch, and blends well. It is the perfect blend of peach and pink shades. It is easy to apply, it goes on smoothly and it is a long-wearing formula. Another feather in it’s cap is that it is Cruelty Free!
