Furthermore, Pat specifically created Lust 004 for the 2017 Versace runway shows. After the shows, Pat created LImited Edition Pat McGrath Lab Kits from her recipes in her secret vault. Then, she put these limited edition Dark Star 006, and Lust 004 kits on her website. Of course, they sold out within minutes. Make that seconds! I remember having a difficult time getting the Dark Star 006 KIt. Pat’s website crashed right away! Then, nobody could get on the site for hours!
Also, most people missed out on the opportunity to actually own a Pat McGrath creation, eye, or lip. Even more, the original kits were extensive. More, they were also extremely expensive. So, this is how the story ends. Mother, another name for Pat McGrath, decided to create next generation kits so that all of those who missed out on the originals could finally have the products that made those kits stars.

First, Pat pared down the contents of the new, 2021 Limited Edition Lab Kits . As a result, Pat was able to bring the prices down. Also, there are a variety of Kit configurations that you can choose from. One variation, the one I purchased, is the Pat McGrath Lust Star Lip & Eye Kits. This kit includes the Dark Star 006 V2. And, Dark Star 006 V2 is the the original PM Labs Dark Star 006. Also, included in this bundle, is PM Labs next generation, of the original Lust 004, now called Lust 006 V3.

Not only does she apply makeup, she has always created makeup for her models. However, this is not your everyday, ordinary makeup! Instead, this is dramatic, editorial,makeup. Therefore, Pat’s clients are models who are wearing couture clothes to walk a catwalk in a fashion show. Or, the model is doing a print ad.
About Pat’s Kits
So, Pat invents products that work together to create different looks. For example, her lip kit has three products. First, you can wear the Rose Desire by itself. It is a pretty lipstick. Also, you actually could wear this during the day! But, when you apply the lip gloss, the effect changes. Your lip is glossy and more dramatic. Although, when you apply the Rose Desire Glitter on top, then that is the big Wow! You certainly won’t walk around in glitter lips every day. Maybe, once a year you’ll bring out the glitter if you are going to a club, or a crazy party.
The same thing goes for the Ultraviolet Pigments. I love this shade, and would create a smokey eye with this blue pigment. Now, let’s say I was going to a nighttime affair. Then, I would put the black eyeliner on as a base, and then put the pigments over it. This creates a deeper, more dramatic look, perfect for a party. Now, the Cyber eye gloss can be worn alone, over the black pencil, or over the UltraViolet Pigments. So, if you love playing with makeup, and experimenting with different effects, these kits are amazing.
