The Ciate London Beauty Haul Makeup Set Curated by Makeup Vlogger Chloe Morello($49) was their holiday set for 2016. I finally had a chance to play with the set. Even though it was the “last”of my holiday stash, I promise you it wasn’t the “least!”
The set Ciate X Chloe Morello Beauty Haul Makeup Set. The set includes : the blue/purple Ciate London zippered makeup bag with a blue and gold tassel, and an adorable star design in gold on the front of the bag. The set also includes a slim, 15 shade eye shadow palette, a miniature liquid lipstick, and a miniature mascara. It covers everything you need to make up your eyes.
I love makeup bags, and this one is really adorable, and very useful. Ciate and curator Chloe Morello wanted to include the bag so that you could keep all of your Ciate makeup together! For your handbag. and it is a great bag to travel with.
The miniature lipstick is a mini Liquid Velvet Lipstick in the shade PINUP. PINUP is a beautiful soft, nude pink. It is the perfect shade to go with this palette. It actually looks great with all of the colors. This is Ciate’s best selling liquid lipstick, and PINUP is one of their best selling shades. It does not dry down to dry out your lips. It is matte, with a velvety sheen. The formula is thick, which I like because it adds more moisture and texture on my lips. It is really comfortable to wear. It doesn’t last as long as a drier liquid matte formula, but it definitely lasted longer than a normal lipstick
Also included in the set is a mini Wonderland Mascara in Black Magic. It is a dark, dark black. The formula is a little gloppy, and I happen to like gloppy mascara ( I think it goes on gloppy and my lashes !look thicker and longer. That is just me, most people don’t love it too clumpy. It did flake on my face a bit once it dried.
The palette is called Pretty, Fun and Fearless. It is the same formula that Ciate uses in their other Pretty, Fun and Fearless individual palettes.
The colors are gorgeous. There are matte and shimmers. Many of the shades have been in other Ciate Palettes.

The shadows remind me of a cross between the Natsha Denona Star Palette, and the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Palette. The colors are beautiful, and versatile. You will be able to create lots of looks. The subtle shadows are perfect for daytime looks. For night, you can create sexy, dramatic looks with the richer pigments. You can also custom blend your own unique shades. The shadows are buttery and blend really well. They are richly pigmented. They wear for a long time. There is a tiny bit of fallout from some of the dustier shadows. The shimmers are a little more difficult to apply with a brush, because the brushes weren’t able to pick up a lot of pigment from the pans. When I used my finger, instead of the brushes, the shimmers picked right up, and went on the eyelid easily. I think using an eye primer would also be helpful, especially with the more metallic shades, which are denser and have a creamy consistency. The mattes are easier to use, they are soft and really blendable. They also pick right up on a brush!
I stored my products in the travel bag, so I could keep them all together. I really love that they added the bag, it is really adorable!
