I purchased the Anastasia Nouveau Eyeshadow Palette during the summer, and honestly, I never opened it to take a look. It has been sitting next to me for a while. and I decided to take a peak. Wow, I didn’t know what I was missing. Never judge a book by its cover, or an eyeshadow palette, by its outer box! I did and I was wrong. The Anastasia Nouveau Eyeshadow Palette is not what I expected. I learned that this palette exceeds the usual, limited in scope, ordinary eyeshadow palettes. The Nouveau Palette color story, including the celestial shades and formula, elevate it to another level. Once opened , the Palette was beyond my expectations. The Palette’s color story , reimagined, amped up neutral warm shades, including unique olive tones, and pops color, have matte and multidimensional metallic shade finishes. The shades can be used for face and body!

The packaging threw me off. 
The Anastasia Nouveau Palette outer box is a strange, blah, green shade, with an imprint of a teensy weensy square pattern, and gold writing on the front of the box. The back of the box is plain box, with black writing. 
Nouveau is written on the back of the packaging box in the upper right corner, in black.The outer box is recyclable. 
The palette case is a textured green tweed texture embossed on the entire case. The case has a magnetic closure.
Inside, underneath the lid is a framed in gold, rectangular mirror. On the other side of the mirror are the 12 eyeshadows in two rows of six shades each, that go from left to right. The size of the shadows is 200% larger than the shadows in other Anastasia Palettes. Instead of the usual 14 shades, there are only 12.
The formula has intense color payoff. It is a pressed powder formula. Because it is a powder formula, there is some kick back.The shades feel creamy, and are easy to apply. Also, the shades are easy to blend, and they are buildable. the formula is long-lasting. Also, the formula is talc-free, mineral oil-free, cruelty free, Paraben-free, Phthalate-free, sulfate-free, and alcohol-free.

Finally, although the Nouveau Palette was released as a summer palette, it is definitely the perfect palette for the fall months! 
Anastasia Nouveau Eyeshadow Palette has the most creative color story I’ve seen in a long time. Plus, the finishes are gorgeous! I know if you are an eyeshadow palette lover, you are going to love this one!
