Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Eyeshadow Palette

Don’t mistake The New Huda Beauty Rose Quartz Eyeshadow Palette with Huda’s Rose Gold Remastered ( in 2018!) Palette!  First, rose gold isn’t born rose.  In fact, Rose Gold is a combination of metals, namely gold, copper and silver.  Also, rose gold is a chic alternative to yellow gold.  On the other hand, Rose Quartz is a pink color.  In fact, it is a soft, gentle, peaceful pink shade.  According to Huda, Rose Quartz will help you recharge and realign.  Even more, the  Pink Rose Quartz Shade represents calmness, femininity, compassion, love, and it encourages you to accept yourself!  Count me in!

Furthermore, the Rose Quartz Eyeshadow Palette shades and finishes are spectacular.  When I opened the palette, I had to take a deep breath, because I felt as if I was looking at a painting.  The layout of the palette, the shades, and their finishes, and the placement of the shades in the palette were so thought out, I can’t stop staring at them.

In addition, the palette, 18 rosy tints and earthy shades, come in five different textured finishes.  First, there are 8 velvety, soft, pigmented matte shades.  Next, there are 3 high-shine buttery metallics,  3 pearly, soft-shine metallics, and 3 quartz-inspired multi-shimmer matte marble creams.  Last, there is 1  pearly gloss hybrid.
This is the second time Huda put one pearly gloss hybrid in a palette!

One Last thought, I think this palette is the first predominately cool-toned palette that Huda has ever created!

The Packaging

The Rose Quartz outer box is pale pink with  barely-there  pink marbling here and there on the box. It is very sparse.  The writing on the front and side of the outer box is in the Rose Quartz Shade.  The writing on the back of the box is in pink.

The case, an opaque clear plastic, has Rose gold writing on  the outer lid the front, which is on top of  a  pink rose quartz painting. The back of the  acrylic palette is white, with rose quartz writing.Also,there is quartz veining on the back of the box.

To open the case, simply lift up on the li from the center of the palette, where you’ll find an opening mechanism. To close, simply push down on the lid until you hear it click. Inside, underneath the lid is a really. nice large mirror.  Huda Beauty is written, in pink,  on the bottom centre  of the mirror.On the other side of the palette, are the 18 eyeshadow shades. The shades are arranged in three horizontal rows that each have 6 shades in the row.

The Formula

This Is one of Huda’s richly pigmented,theme palettes.  The high quality shadows apply smoothly,and easily .  The pigments blend true to color.  The shadows are long-wearing.The shades feelbuttery.They are vibrant, not patchy, with great color playoff.  All of the creams are more emollient than regular powered eyeshadows. They adhere easily, to the skin. But, they still have powder fallout, like a dry shadow, with some sparkle and shimmer fallout. The mattes were easy to apply, and had a smooth fine texture that was consistent throughout the palette.

Row 1 Across (Left to Right)

The shades in row 1 are Quartz, Aura, Gratitude, Cosmic Love, Empowered and Joy

Quartz

Quartz, a copper shade, has a cream marble finish. When the marbling is mixed, the shade is a light copper that goes from sheer to opaque.

Aura

Aura, an earth brown shade, has a matte finish.

Gratitude

Gratitude, a latte brown shade, has a matte finish.

Cosmic Love

Cosmic Love has a warm brown base with a purple,pink,blue shift, has a cream marble shimmering finish.

Empowered

Empowered, a dark gunmetal powder, has a metallic finish.  think this is the most pigmented shade in the palette.

Joy

Joy, a rose glow powder, has a metallic finish.

The shades in Row 2 are Precious, Energizer, Love Stone, Cherished, Blissful, and Happiness

Precious

Precious, a deep, cool brown shade, has a matte finish.

Energized

Energized,a gold cream shade, has a metallic finish.

Love Stone

Love Stone, a white holographic pink hybrid, has a glossy finish.  Not super glossy, and the pebbles of pigment ar difficult to get to at first, keep trying and you’ll get a beautiful effect.

Cherished

Cherished, a cool pink shade, has a matte finish.

Blissful

Blissful, a silver-green creamy shade, has a metallic finish.

Happiness

Happiness, a bright pink shade, has a matte finish.

Final Thoughts

Huda’s eyeshadow palettes never disappoint, and the Rose Quartz Eyeshadow Palette is no exception.  From the second you open the palette, you are going to be as in love as I am with these beautiful shades, and their awesome finishes.  The strategically placed pans make the inside of the palette look more like a painting than an eyeshadow palette.  It is the epitome of femininity!  And, it is as much fun to play with as it is to wear these shades.
