What have you been doing for your skin since last summer? Certainly, like most of us, you’ve lost your gorgeous summer glow! Presently, your skin has become dry and dull. Hey, with the holidays just around the corner, tis the season to Get Your Glowing Skin Back! In order to make yourself look healthy, beautiful and flawless, your criteria is to create glowing skin. To this end you have a couple of choices. First, you can naturally get your skin to glow. On the other hand, you can fake glowing skin.
The Natural Way To Get Glowing Skin
Exfoliation Removes Skin Dryness
For this purpose, use a good quality exfoliator on the skin to help remove all of the dead cells, dirt, oil and other impurities. As a result, the exfoliation rejuvenates the skin so that it is ready for the cleansing process.
Yogurt and Cucumber
Yogurt and Cucumber nurture the skin in order for it to glow.
First, mix organic yogurt with fresh cucumber juice. Next, apply it on the face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Then, wash the mask off with cold water. The result you will achieve is an instant glowing effect on your skin. Especially easy and uncomplicated, you can perform this remedy once a week.
Drink Loads of Water For Healthy, Glowing Skin
Specifically, water is what keeps your skin hydrated and plump. Therefore, if you drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day, the water will flush out the toxins from the body and renew the skin cells. The result is the glow on your face that has been triggered by the removal of toxins from your body and the renewal of the skin cells. Also, the water transports nutrients and oxygen to your cells which protects and moisturizes your skin. Furthermore, the water improves the blood flow and your circulation.
Take A Quick Shower
Interestingly, cold, quick showers keep the quality of your skin high, healthy and radiant. On the other hand, hot showers flush out the moisture from your skin. As a result, your skin becomes dry and dull.
Drink Coconut Water
Surprisingly, drinking at least one glass of fresh coconut water everyday will improve blood circulation and will thoroughly clean the skin and body. In addition, coconut water, when applied to the face, gets rid of skin problems such as acne and blackheads.
Include Vitamin C – Rich Foods For Radiant Skin
Foods that are rich in Vitamin C help brighten and make the skin radiant. An Example of Vitamin C Foods are: oranges, guava, papaya, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, and lemons.
In addition to ingesting Vitamin C rich food, you can also make face masks out of these fruits.
Reducing Stress Allows For Healthy Radiant Skin
Sometimes emotions have an affect on your skin. Specifically, stress causes a negative chemical response in your body. Therefore, when you feel stressed, take a walk and practice stress management techniques such as yoga and meditation. With this in mind, it is important to get the proper amount of sleep each day to prevent exhaustion. Because, when you are tired, you tend to become more stressed.
Fake Glowing Skin With Makeup
With this in mind, you’ll need:
- face mist, either a primer spray or a finishing mist
- face primer
Step 1 – Apply Moisturizer – this helps with blending and the base application. Wait about five minutes before step 2.
Step 2- Prep the face with primer. Apply a small amount. Place it in the center of your face and spread towards the outer areas of the face. Next, Let this sit for 2 or 3 minutes. This helps lock the moisturizer in place, as well as acting as a barrier between the skin and your makeup. Also, it prevents creasing and it keeps your makeup from budging. Therefore, your makeup will last all day.
Step 3 – Hydrate your face with a finishing spray. Spray your face 2 or 3 times to hydrate and give your skin a healthy look.
Step 4 – Foundation and Face Highlighter – First, the highlighter must be a liquid highlighter or a cream. Pump out the amount of foundation you will need to cover your face. Take between a third to an equal amount of highlighter. Mix these both together with a flat brush. Then apply the mixture all over your face as you would your foundation. Blend it to a seamless finish.
IF YOU ARE DOING A SUBTLE LOOK YOU CAN STOP HERE – HOWEVER IF YOU ARE DOING HEAVIER MAKEUP WITH GLOWING SKIN, CONTINUE TO STEP 5
Step 5 – Dab on concealer under your eye area to provide a strong, highlighted look to the face. Apply the concealer in a triangular form, blending it out with your fingers, or a flat brush ( I use a sponge).
Step 6 – Highlight again, only this time, put the highlighter on the high points of the face to create a stronger glowing skin impact.
Step 7 – Follow with a blush. Blush perks up any complexion. Pinch your cheeks. Apply a similar shade of blush as the pinched look of your cheek.
Step 8 – Add a touch of bronzer. However, remember to switch out your summer bronzer for one that is lighter for the winter. The winter bronzer should have more pink to it. Also, a finely milled shimmer actually looks more natural in a winter bronzer than your summer matte shade.
Step 9 – Bring lightness to your eyes with a light-colored metallic shadow. Any shadow that is sheer and iridescent is also good to use. Place the shadow from the inner corner to across the eyelid.
