First, how are you doing? If you are frustrated with social distancing, read my Covid 19 Its’ O.K. to be not O.K. Now, let’s change the subject! Natasha Denona is always fun to talk about. First, she just launched two Mini Palettes. One is the Mini Bloom Highlighting Blush Palette. The other one is the New Mini Retro Palette. I love Natasha’s mini palettes. For one thing, they are a lot less expensive than her jumbo palettes. As a result, people who don’t want to spend a fortune, can try and enjoy wearing Natasha Denona makeup. Two, I love that the minis are perfect travel companions. (Not that we’re doing much travel these days!). Although, I always love when new makeup comes out.
You can find the Natasha Denona Mini Retro Palette, and the Mini Bloom Highlighting Blush at Sephora, and on the Natasha Denona Website. Furthermore, the Mini Retro Eyeshadow Palette ( 5 X 0.02 oz/0.8g) costs $25. And, the Mini Bloom Highlighting Blush Palette (4g/ 0.141 oz) costs $19.
The Mini Palettes Packaging
First, the outer box for the eyeshadow palette is a peachy-pink metallic. Also, the outer box for the Highlighting Blush is a shiny peach shade. Both boxes , on the front, have pictures of the inside of the products. Also, the ingredients are listed on the backs of the outer boxes.
The Highlighting Blush compact is a shiny peachy-pink case. Furthermore, the case is plastic. Inside, on one side is a full-sized mirror.
On the other side is the highlighting blush. Moreover, the case for the Retro palette has a clear front.
Also, the lid is hinged, so it can stay up, or snap down to close. Even more, you can see the five shades through the clear lid. Then, the back of the compact lists the names of the five shades.
The Mini Palettes Formula
The Highlighter Blush formula is versatile. First, it can be used as a blush. And, you can use it as a highlighter. Moreover, you can use it to do both! Also, the featherweight, long-lasting formula feels soft and silky on the skin. One thing, the formula is made with a combination of hyaluronic acid, and tropical oils. I love that these “good for your skin” ingredients go beneath the epidermis to the layers beneath the skin. Therefore, the formula gives your skin lightweight hydration.
Next, the Retro Palette’s formula gives you maximum color payoff.
Also, the formula blends and layers, seamlessly. I love that the eyeshadows give you vibrant, ultra-pigmented , long-lasting looks. Even more, the shadows are buttery. Additionally, the shadows are buildable. Another great attribute this formula has little to ono fallout.
The Mini Palette Shades
To begin with, the Highlighting Blush, a coral pink shade, has a sheer, vibrant finish. Furthermore, the coral pink shade is universally flattering.
So, if you are fair, medium, tan or deep, you can wear this shade. Also, if you have cool, neutral, or warm undertones, this shade will go with every undertone. I love that you can wear the Highlighting Blush as a blusher, a highlighter, or both! First, this is a light diffusing highlighting blush.
Furthermore, the inspiration for this mini comes from Natasha’s original, Bloom Blush Palette. Although, the Bloom Blush Highlighting Palette has four shades, that need to be layered to create the Highlighting Blush effect. On the other hand, the mini palette comes with one pan. It is considered an “extended” shade to her original Bloom Highlighting Blush Palette.
Next, the Mini Retro Palette has five eyeshadow pans. First, Galaxia, a light nude shade, has green and blue sparks. Next, Industrial Green, a green taupe shade, has silver reflects. Third, 60’s, a greenish grey shade, has a matte finish. Then, Vintage Taupe, an antique rose shade, has a matte finish. Finally, Pixia, a pink shade, has a champagne shift.
The mini retro eyeshadow palette is perfect for a soft pastel look. Furthermore, Natasha suggests that the palette shades would create romantic, retro looks. I’m thinking I’d love to see the Retro mini turned into a Retro Maxi palette. You know, one of ND’s 15, or 28 shade palettes? That would be a lot of fun.
My Final Thoughts on The Natasha Denona Mini Palettes : Mini Bloom Highlighting Blush, and Mini Retro Eyeshadow Palette
First of all, I love the easiness of the mini palettes. Also, they are amazing for travel. Best of all, if you’ve never tried Natasha Denona’s makeup, this is a great way to start. For one thing, the price is right! Also, you’ll get a taste of how good her formulas are. First, I love the Mini Retro Palette because it doesn’t look like everybody’s neutral, or sunset palettes. In fact, I love the colors in this palette, and would love to see a bigger version of Retro shades.
Finally, love that the Highlighting Blush Mini is a versatile, all in one kind of product. First, you can highlight and blush with the one shade of this palette. Therefore, it is not exactly like it’s counterpart, the original four pan Highlighting Blush Palette. In that palette, you really need to play with the other shades to achieve the look you get with the one mini shade.
