The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is an oldie but goodie. Bloggers love it! So do I! There are many reasons why the Sheer Glow Foundation is a cult favorite. First, the foundation compliments all skin tones. Therefore, it is universally flattering! Second, it gives you beautiful, natural – looking skin. In addition, , it makes your skin glow. At the same time, the foundation has skincare benefits. Most important, it hydrates your skin because it has moisturizing properties. And, it improves your skin’s brightness and texture over time.
You can get the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation at Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney’s, Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, Selfridges and Nars Website. And it costs $47 US Dollars.
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Packaging
Specifically, the 30ml glass foundation bottle has a matte black lid. What is more, there is no pump! A pump would be the best way to dispense a liquid foundation.
Instead, the bottle has a screw top! In order to dispense the foundation, you must pour it into the palm of your hand. As a result, you are not getting the “exact” amount of foundation you want. For example, you could over pour the foundation, which would give you too much product! In this way, you can’t very well put the extra foundation back into the bottle! You will never be able to get two or three pumps! In other words, you are spending a lot of money for a foundation that should have a pump.
However, the good news is you can buy the Nars Liquid Foundation Pump at Sephora or on the Nars Website. The pump costs $6. At least you won’t have to pour or drip the foundation! Furthermore, the pump dispenses only the amount of foundation that you will need. Yet, there is still a big problem. The pump doesn’t have a lid! As a result, the foundation won’t travel well without a lid! Although, the pump does have a turn lock. Would you want to take the chance that the pump lock will work while bouncing around in your luggage?
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Formula
To begin with, I love the Sheer Glow Foundation’s formula. First, Sheer Glow is a liquid foundation. The formula’s base is water. Next, you will get a light-to medium coverage. Don’t let the Sheer in Sheer Glow fool you! The reason is, the foundation does cover blemishes, age spots, pores, sun damage and uneven skintone. In fact, the foundation color corrects so well, it acts like a super thick foundation with full coverage!
Moreover, the formula is Nars Complexion Brightening, which means it minimizes discoloration while leaving the skin with a fresh, dewy base. Another reason I love Sheer Glow Foundation is the formula has moisturizing properties. Therefore, it hydrates your skin.
The formula also includes Vitamin C to brighten your skin and lessens the look of discoloration. And, Turmeric enhances your skin’s radiance, and evens out your skin tone. Then, powerful antioxidants protect your skin against free radicals. In addition, glycerin attracts and hold moisture in.
Moreover, the formula has lasting power. For example, last week the temperatures soared to a ridiculous 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and my foundation didn’t budge!
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Shades
The Nars Sheer Glow Foundation comes in 40 shades. In fact, Sephora has 6 exclusive extended colors. Sephora also has the best color descriptions that include skin tones, and undertones. However, if you really do not know your color, go to the foundation finder on the Nars Website. Also, you can go to the shade finder on the Ulta Website . First, it is easy. Second, it will give you all of the colors that would be good for you. I answered all of the questions, and the Nars result was three different shades.
I chose Santa Fe, because it was for medium skin tone with neutral undertones.
Right now, it is a little bit too light because I am tanned. However, by the time Fall rolls around, it will be an exact match! The reason I didn’t choose the darker choice is because tans change all the time. As a result, what looks good right after a tan, won’t look good a week later. Either you will get darker, or you will get lighter. So, I decided to stick with the shade that I am most of the time! Then, I can add a bronzing powder to accommodate my tan.
Tips to Apply Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
Nars suggests you pour the foundation into the palm of your hand. However, if you have the pump, pump two to three pumps into the palm of your hand. Then, use your fingertips to press the foundation into your skin. The warmth of your hands and fingers will help blend the foundation for a natural finish. Furthermore, to add more coverage, stipple the foundation on the area you are working on, will do the trick!
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Last But Not Least……….
I understand why the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation , one of Nars’ oldest foundations, is a cult favorite. There is no other foundation like it. It is a sheer to medium foundation. Also, it is a buildable foundation. And, it gives you a satin, natural looking finish that glows. Finally, it leaves your skin hydrated, softer and smoother. Also important, the foundation protects you from free radicals. Above all, it comes in 40 shades. Therefore, there is a shade for everyone!
I would love it if you wear this formula to tell me what you think in the comments below!
