Hourglass is a brand that is all about lighting. Their products create different lighting effects that enhance your skin to be professional film and photography ready. They have a line called Ambient Lighting that include powders and blushers which are able to refract and reflect light. They recently added a light-correcting primer , which is designed to enhance your lighting and work with all of the products in the Ambient Lighting Line. It is their Ambient Light Correcting Primers ($44) at Sephora. These primers are different from all of the color-correcting products that are available in every brand! Those products correct the skin’s COLOR, and are good if you are sallow, have dark spots or have redness. Ambient Light Correcting Primers correct LIGHT.
The primer acts as a filter to correct light prior to putting on makeup. The primer is infused with light-correcting pigments, and is weightless and oil free. It creates a thin layer of light enhancing pigments that are the perfect base to prepare the skin for makeup. The primer neutralizes light, brightens light and softens light to create a refined appearance and a soft subtle glow. It comes in three shades.
The Champagne Pearl Color brightens light to create a luminous candlelight glow.
Dim Light
Hourglass Dim light is a natural beige color that balances warm and cool tones and creates soft, dim lighting
Mood Light is a soft sheer pink that softens the light and creates forgiving mood lighting
The formulas blur imperfections and smooth the skin. They are the perfect base to prime skin and create the perfect light-correcting canvas. Wear the primer over moisturizer and underneath foundation, or wear the primer alone, over a moisturizer. The colors are really pretty and when absorbed into the skin, they create a soft subtle glow , a great start for your makeup.
