We Are Here! The Wedding Weekend is finally here! two days left! Rehearsal Dinner Tomorrow Night! The guests have started to come in from all over the place!
The Charlotte Tilbury makeup counters (there are two of them) in Harrods Department Store in London were overflowing with women who were waiting to get their “Signature Look”. There are ten looks to choose from. They are : The Ingenue, The Golden Goddess, The Rebel, The Glamour Muse, The Uptown Girl, The Vintage Vamp, The Sophisticate, The Bombshell, The Rock Chick, and The Dolce Vita. Any one of these looks is gorgeous, and could suit our different moods. That day, I was in The Dolce Vita mood. The Dolce Vita Woman is described as:
a woman who has luxury lunches on sunny terraces to indulgent dinners under the stars. She is a glamazon who loves to soak up life’s simple pleasures. The Dolce Vita Eye Shadow Palette is four harmonious shades of velvety soft, pigmented colors. The palette is color-coded and comes with directions.
From the top the champagne color is your base color for all over the lid. The sparkly color beneath it is the pop of color that you apply to the center of the lid. The next color is the coppery shade, which is used in your crease to enhance your eye, and the dark bronze shade is for smoking the eye.
The Dolce Vita Palette sells for $52 on it’s own, as do the other 9 Signature Look Eye Shadow Palettes.
Feline Flick in panther ($30) is a quick fine line eyeliner pen. It is as easy to use as a felt tip pen, with the precision-look of Japanese calligraphy
Full Flat Lashes ($29)in glossy black is a five star mascara that curls, separates, lengthens, and gives volume. It creates the drama for the Dolce Vita look.
Cheek to Chic Blush in Ecstasy ($40) is a creamy, color-rich, shimmering flush blush that has finely crushed pearls that create a shimmering glow. It is a two step blusher. First you swish your brush over the blush and give your cheeks a flush, then you dab your brush in the center color and pop that color on the apples of your cheeks.
Lip Cheat ($22) lip liner in pillow talk is for reshaping and resizing your lips. It is a neutral/muted pink shade that is rich and velvety. It has a long lasting formula that is thicker so that it glides on with no feathering and no transfer.
Hot Lips Lipsticks ($32) in Stone Rose and Penelope Pink are a blend of waxes, light-diffusing pigments and enriched with a secret antioxidant ingredient from the lipstick tree.
Hot Lips Penelope Pink is a nude/pink that mimics the natural hue of your lips. It was inspired bby Penelope Cruz, a muse for the Dolce Vita collection.
Stone Rose is from Charlotte’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G. collection. It is a neutral, brownish-rose color created as one of the 10 curated classic colors from her original collection.
Lip Lustre ($22) in Seduction is a luxurious color-lasting lip lacquer. It is rich with lotus flower extract-an antioxidant that hydrates and smooths the lips. It has a creamy, vinyl-like non-sticky texture that lasts about six hours.
Film Star Bronze and Glow ($68) is a universal bronze shade, and a universal highlighter shade. The bronze shade is a pearl/pigment blend that mimics a sun-kissed complexion, and also is a shade to contour your features. The highlighter is made with light flex technology which captures light and creates a luminous, radiant complexion.

O.K. TGIF – The Friday before our Wedding on Sunday. We are nervous and excited. My advice to our bride to be is to stay calmer than I have been all week! She really is an absolute dream of a bride, calm , cool and collected. Actually it is she who is holding the rest of us together. Would you believe I forgot to order dessert for the rehearsal dinner? Now that is a nervous mom! Can’t wait- one more day to go!!!!!
