Have you heard of the Japanese Beauty Brand Suqqu? In fact, I hadn’t heard much about the Brand other than the fact it is a J-Beauty brand, that comes from Japan. Although, the Suqqu brand is not yet sold in the USA. One reason I love the Selfridges Website is it is fun to see products that are not sold in the USA. Moreover, blush is my favorite makeup. I am always looking for a new blush. So, when I spotted the Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102,on the Selfridges website, I bought it.
First, the Powder Blush Palette 102 is a Limited Edition Pre-Holiday 2020 Release. Evidently, there was a Suqqu 101 Powder Blush Palette. Briefly, SUQQU was founded by the Japanese Company, Equipe. Even more, Suqqu was created for an older more established clientele. The “mature generation”. The products reflect that in their price-point, colors and textures .However, the brand is much loved by the famous and well know. For example, Victoria Beckham, and Margot Robbie love the brand. How about this, Suqqu is the only blush Lisa Eldridge uses!
Finally, the Suqqu Powder Blush 102 palette includes three blush shades, and three highlighters. The thing I love most about the Suqqu blush is it isn’t as dark as it looks in the pan. In fact, the blush starts out sheer. Although,it is meant to be layered. Therefore, you control the intensity. So, if you want a sheer flush, lightly dip your brush in the blush, and apply a soft layer to your face. On the other hand, if you are like me, and love a more pigmented blush, layer the blush two, three or more layers on your cheeks until you find the right intensity for you. Above all, the shades have no glitter. And, you will love the lit from within glow, without the glitter! I do!
You can find the Suqqu Powder Blush Palette at Selfridges. The Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102 (0.58 oz./16.5g) costs $65.
The Packaging For The Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102
To begin, the compact, a sleek, glossy black, has gold accents. It is minimalist packaging, without the bells and whistles. Therefore, I consider the packaging to be sleek and elegant. First, to open the compact, just push on the gold mechanism on the bottom front of the compact. Then, just snap the lid closed. Inside, there is a large mirror on one side. On the other side are six pans. Three pans hold the matte blushes. Three pans hold the highlighters.
This palette is travel worthy. The reason is, you have three blushes and three highlighters in one palette. So, you have lots of choices! And, they are all together in one case.
The Formula For The Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102
First, the powders have a silky texture. The blush shades have satin matte finishes. Also, the highlighters have a metallic-like finish. The richly pigmented blushes come off looking soft, and semi-sheer. However, Suqqu wants you to layer their products! Therefore, their pigments are buildable. Each layer will create more intensity. You can make the shade as intense as you want. Also important to know, the shades are easy to blend. Easily, they meld and diffuse into your skin.
One last thing, the powders are really pressed tightly in the pans.

First, Blush #1 Left, a medium orange-brown shade, has a matte satin finish. This orange-brown shade is a warm-toned blush. I love to wear this shade on my eyes. Although, it is a beautiful blush. For me, with my medium complexion, I used two layers. Also, I used a soft , fluffy blush brush.
Highlighter One Middle
Second, Highlighter #1 Middle, a medium-yellow-gold shade, has a pearl-metallic finish. First, this is a warm-toned highlighter, that gives you a sun kissed luminous glow. How To Apply The Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102
First, the Suqqu blush is not your very pigmented , one swipe Mac or Nars blush! After all, it was created for a more mature woman. Yet, if you are fair, to light, complected, it is a one and done swipe. If this is the case, keep it sheer by using a very light hand. Also, I recommend using a soft fluffy brush for a lighter wash of color. Even more, for the initial blush placement, place it where you want the color to be the most intense!
If your skintone is medium to deep, then use a dense brush. I prefer to use a dense brush with synthetic fibers. In this way, it is easier to pick up the color.
My Final Thoughts On The Suqqu Powder Blush Palette 102
Another tip, use powder underneath the blush. In this way, it will be easier to blend. Also, the blush will be smoother on your skin! This isn’t your typical blush. The Japanese Company Suqqu bases itself on the principles of inner composure, serenity, and well being. In other words, they are looking for a lit from within look. And, since they are not targeting young kids, their formula is for layering, until you get the intensity that you want! Personally, I love the Palette! It is more luxurious, more elegant, and above all it will create the most elegant looks. In addition, I love that you can wear the blush and highlighters on. your eyes! Last, I love all the shades in this palette.
