The Japanese New Years tradition, Fukubukuro, is a New Years Day shopping experience. Specifically, Lucky Bags are mystery grab bags that you purchase. However, there is a catch. Interestingly,what makes a lucky bag so much fun is… you don’t know what is in the bag. You blindly purchase a bag hoping that you’re getting a bargain. The Fukubukuro tradition inspired Beautylish to create their own lucky bag tradition.
Obviously,The Beautylish Bag contains a selection of products that are sold at Beautylish. Also, the products are chosen randomly. No, you can not request a product! Furthermore, you can’t expect products that will look good on your skin tone, or your skin type. That is part of the fun! You do not know what is in your bag!
One last bit of information is you have two choices to choose your bag. First, you can spend $75 for a regular bag. Second, you can get the XL bag for $150.
I purchased my first Lucky Bag last year( 2017). I loved the whole experience. So, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this year’s 2018 Bag! I purchased the XL bag. It arrived today. I am thrilled to share my unboxing with you!

My Beautylish lucky bag arrived today, Thursday, January 18, 2018! There were three separate packages in the box.

The Natasha Denona Eye Shadow Palette 28 in Green-Brown.
Guess what? I received the exact same palette in my 2017 Lucky Bag!
It is a gorgeous palette that I have already reviewed. (click here for the review) The title of my review is Natasha Denona The Best Eye Shadows Ever.
Therefore, you know I loved the 28 in Green-Brown. I also loved the 28 in the other colorway, Purple-Blue! In fact, it’s still a favorite, and to prove it, I have three of them now! also, the cost of the Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 28 is $239, Wow! I’ve hit a homerun and I am not even out of the ball park yet!

Package 2 is way more exciting. First, there are six mystery items in package 2. Some of the items I already have. However, some of the items I’ve never seen before, nor would I have thought to purchase them myself.

Skindinavia is an oil free Makeup Finishing Spray . And, it is the Bridal bottle. I have a soon-to-be bride in the family. Therefore, I am gifting her this bridal makeup finishing spray. Also, this is the first time I’ve met this finishing spray. So, it is a new one for me! Furthermore, it sells for $39.
Wayne Goss Cheek Brush #10
If you don’t know Wayne Goss already, he is a British makeup artist who has a very popular you tube channel. And, I love watching him on you tube. Because of Wayne’s channel, I’ve learned so many tips and tricks about makeup! He teamed up with Beautylish to create his own line of makeup brushes. They are well-made quality brushes. I’m thrilled to get one of Wayne’s brushes in my bag! I already feel like my 2018 bag is a home run! Moreover, the cost of the brush is $38.

I’m a huge By Terry Fan! Therefore, I purchased the Flash Light Elixir in the fall. It is a part of her holiday collection. (Click here to read my review). It is a wonderful highlighter for your face. Moreover, it is muy expensivo!

Smith and Cult Nail Polish
First, the Smith and Cult Nail Polish in 1972 is a beauty! Second, who wouldn’t want a new nail polish shade? Third, I’ve never tried this brand before. And, finally, I love the free form look of the lid. However, I don’t think it was meant to be this artistic. In fact, it appears to have been smashed on one side. Beautylish should know if one of their products was sent damaged! Anywho, the nail polish costs $18.
Oribe Daily Ritual Cream Face Cleanser
Yaye! Oribe is an amazing line. I use their shampoos and conditioners. They smell amazing. In fact, someone told me Tom Ford helped design the original scent. Their skincare line is fairly new. I have yet to try it! Hence, this cream face cleanser is a good place to start! Most important, take a look at some of those amazing ingredients in the cleanser! The Ritual Cream Cleanser sells for $45.

Again, by Terry is a luxurious, high-end, French line. Terrybly Velvet Rouge is a Velvet Liquid Lipstick. The shade is a peachy nude. This particular product by Terry I have not tried. I am excited about this one! By Terry Terrybly Velvet Rouge costs $47.
Package Three Jouer Powder Highlighters in a Travel Collection
I have some of the Jouer Powder Highlighters. They are really gorgeous highlighters with a great formula.
I love the mirrored packaging, and the inside mirror. They are the perfect size for travel. Originally, this sold for $60. However, currently the set is on sale for $39 at Jouercosmetics.com (click here for link). Hence, the travel highlighter set currently sells for $39.

Remember, the object of the Lucky Bag is to get a bargain. I paid $150 for my XL Bag. My bag included eight deluxe products. The total of the products added up to $533 dollars. Subtract the $150 that I paid, and I received $383 dollars more than I paid in products! That is an amazing bargain to me. What about you? You do the math!
