Chantecaille Holiday 2020 Collection

Check out the New Chantecaille Holiday 2020 Collection. Before I start, I just want to remind you that the Chantecaille brand is one of the most luxurious, clean makeup brands in the world today.  Even more, what sets Chantecaille apart from all other brands is they are the only philanthropic makeup brand in the world today.  As a result, much of the proceeds of their expensive products goes to various charities that protect the endangered wildlife in Africa today.

To begin, the collection includes two new Luminescent Eye Shades. One shade supports the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association and their work protecting the endangered Grey Crowned Crane in East Africa.  The other shade supports the Grevy’s Zebra Trust and their important work protecting this endangered zebra species, and its fragile habitat in Kenya.

Also Holiday 2020 includes four new Le Matte Stylo lip crayons for Holiday 2020.

You can find the new Luminescent Eye Shades, and the Le Matte Stylo Lip Crayons on the Chantecaille Website.  The Luminescent Eyeshadows (2.5g/.08 oz.) costs $52 each.  The Le Matte Stylo Lip Crayons (2.5g/.08oz) costs $38 each.

The Chantecaille Holiday 2020 Collection Two New Luminescent Eye Shades

Packaging

First, the packaging is no different for the holidays than it is all year round.  Therefore, there are no bells and whistles.  Also, no metallic silver or gold packaging. Nothing!  You wouldn’t even know this was a holiday collection. The boxes have the namesake of the shade’s animal on the front.  Also, the packaging is in black and white.  No glitz and no glam! Inside, the shiny gun metal palettes have the same picture on the front that is on the cover of the box.  Again, black and white.  Although, the picture is on a slightly raised, padded top.

Next, to open the case, pull the lid up. Inside the palette has a mirror on one side, and pan of shadow on the other side.   Last, the shadow is embossed with a feather design.  To close the palette, just push the lid down until you hear it click.

The Formula

ingredients

For one thing, Chantecaille uses high concentrations of pure natural botanicals that nourish and revitalize the skin, which is reflected in  the high price tag!  Also the shadows have luminous pearlescent finishes.  Even more, they are washes of multi-dimensional shimmer.  Finally, the formula is a unique gel-like formula that gives the shadow it’s sheer wash of color.

The Shades

Crane

First, Crane, a smokey burgundy shade with pink reflects, has a multi-dimensional, pearlescent finish.

First, this shade is more pigmented than some of the other Luminescent Eye shades.  One way to wear this shade is all over your eyelids.  Also, this is a great shade for your crease.  And, it is great to wear in the outer corners of your eyes.  In this way, you can create a smokey eye.

Zebra

Next, Zebra, a rose gold shade, has a multi-dimensional, metallic finish.  One, the rose gold shade is more sheer and with ever so slight pink shimmering reflects..  Therefore, you can wear it all over your eyelids.  Also, you could use it in the inner corners of your eyes.  Then, you can wear Crane in your crease, and on the outer corners of your eyes. Also, line your eyes with Crane.

About the Charities to Save the Grey Crowned Crane and the Grey Zebra

The Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association Fights To Save The Grey Crowned Crane

To begin with, Chantecaille is teaming up with the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association  to save the endangered Grey Crowned Crane.  One reason the Cranes are becoming endangered is because of the illegal pet trade.

The other reason is because of habitat loss.  Therefore, in order to save them, the Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association is removing the crane’s from captivity and rewilding them.  Even more, the Association is campaigning to fight the illegal trade of birds and their eggs.

The Grey Zebra Trust Project

Even more, Chantecaille is teaming up with the Grey Zebra Trust Project to save the grey zebra, one of Africa’s most endangered mammals.  Unfortunately, there are only 3000 zebras left in the wild in Northern Kenya.  As a result, the Zebra’s survival is dependent on co-existing with local communities.  As a result, the Grey Zebra Trust Project protects the zebras from poaching.  Also, they restore healthy grasslands for the zebra to have grazing grounds.

The Chantecaille Holiday 2020 Collection Le Matte Stylo

Packaging

First, the outer box is the same outer box that the Le Stylo eyeliners comes packaged in. As a result, there is no real indication that this is a holiday collection.  Instead, it is just another nice collection!  Anyhow, the Le Matte Stylo is a lip crayon. It comes in a crayon-like stick, with a lid to keep the lipstick from drying out.  Also, the crayon is self-sharpening.  And, it “swivels” up.

The Formula

The formula is infused with sustainably sourced Fair-Wild Baobab Oil.  As a result, the formula is creamy, velvety and soft.  It is not drying.  Instead, it nourishes your lips.  Also, it is comfortable to wear.It is easy to apply.  It glides on your lips.  Even more, the color is pure and bold.

The Shades

There are four shades in the Le Matte Stylo Lip Crayon Collection.  I purchased two of the shades.  One shade I did not purchase Aster, a bright rose shade, has a velvety matte finish.  And, the other shade I didn’t purchase is Snapdragon, a peachy-pink shade, has a velvety matte finish.

The shades I purchased are Lobelia, and Meadowsweet.

Also, Lobelia is a fiery orange-red shade, with a velvety matte finish.

My Final Thoughts On The Chantecaille Holiday 2020 Collection…..

Chantecaille is a family brand, that is still owned and run by the entire Chantecaille family.  I appreciate other family run businesses, because my husband runs his business with our kids too!

I also love that the Chantecaille brand and family respect and appreciate the achievements of women, and being an animal lover, I am thrilled that a percentage of the proceeds from this kit goes to saving Africa’s  endangered animals !  It is not everyday you hear about a makeup brand being philanthropic!

Also, I love the eyeshadows.  In fact, I have all the other shadows in the collection. The new shades are both beautiful.  Also, they can be worn alone, or with each other.  Also, the lip crayons are beauties.  The crayon is easy to apply.  And,you can draw an outline on your lips, and then color them in, with the same crayon.  So, you don’t need a lip pencil!  Also, the matte formula feels creamy, and does not dry out the lips.  The shades are beautiful. The brand’s Holiday 2020 Collection is like any other Chantecaille collection.  Not a lot of Holiday flash, bells, and whistles!

Instead, the gift is that when you invest in these beautiful products, you are investing in saving the lives of the endangered animals in Africa.  If you are an animal person, like me, you will really appreciate that!  And, then the products aren’t so expensive!  After all, that is what the holidays are really all about!
