What do I wear for a glam night out? Usually, I ‘ll wear black. Although, I wore cobalt blue to my son’s wedding. Also, last year, I wore pink sequins, to my other son’s wedding. In fact, I didn’t wear black to any of my son’s weddings. The reason was, I wore dresses that were fun! In fact, I did my eyes in Pat McGrath’s Mothership VI, Midnight Sun Palette. Actually, I used one of Pat’s tutorials to do a cobalt blue eye. Then, I asked my mother if she liked it? She answered, No, I hate it!” Okay! Now, we are heading into the holiday season. By the way, this is my favorite time of year. The reason is, when I think about the Holidays, I want everything to sparkle. Recently, Pat McGrath Labs launched the Pat McGrath ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream. Moreover, it is a gel-cream highlighter.
Above all, it sparkles. Also, it is perfect to wear on special occasions, like the holidays! However, the thing I love most about the ChromaLuxe Hi-Lite Cream is it is not serious. Instead, it is all about having fun, and looking beautiful for special occasions! Furthermore, the ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream comes in two shades, pale gold, and an Astral Blue.

Pat McGrath ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream Packaging
To begin with, my biggest surprise was the outer boxes. In other words, the boxes were itsy bitsy. Although, the boxes look like miniature Pat McGrath boxes.
In other words, the box designs are tiny, yet elaborate. Amazingly, there was enough room, on the front of the box, for Pat’s famous Hieroglyphics! Furthermore, the box designs, elaborate lace bows, with lots of sparkling jewels.
Okay then! We all now that good things come in small packages! Inside, the box, is a teeny tiny tube.
In fact, the tube looks like an artists paint color. First, the tube is metal. Then, the tube has a foil top. It is one of those tubes where you use the other side of the cap to poke a hole into the foil.
Even more, it also reminds me of a medicine tube with ointment in it. So, what happens, when you take the cap off? For one thing, you find out that foil covers the opening of the tube. Therefore, , You turn the cap around, and stick the side with a point in it, into the foil.
Next? When you pull the point out of the foil, half of the ointment comes out with it. As a result, that is what happened with my tube, too!
Therefore, I lost part of my highlighter before I could use it. Finally, the tube also has air in it. In other words, the tube includes the product, and air. Lots of air! So, I’m really not sure how much cream highlighter is in the tube, versus, how much air?

Last thoughts, I understand why Pat McGrath would use metal paint tubes to package her Hi Lite Cream. To start with, Pat is an artist. Moreover, she is probably the best makeup artist in the world, today. As a result, the artist paint tube is a cute idea. This is because, the ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream is your little paint tube. Now, you too can be an artist . Get it?
Pat McGrath ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream Formula
The formula is intense. Therefore, you only need a teeny tiny, itsy bitsy amount of product. As a result, the smallest dot will go a long way. Now, you can understand why the tiny tubes aren’t a big deal after all. That is, it the amount you need for application is next to nothing. As a result, there is no reason to cry over the size of the tiny paint tubes. They may be extra, extra small, but the cream inside really packs a punch! So, you need hardly any to highlight your face.
Moreover, the cream has a smooth texture, that adheres to your skin. And, it is easy to apply. Although, it does dry down pretty quickly. So, you have to work fast, blending it in, before it dries, and starts to flake all over!

In addition, the very bold, pigmented highlighter formula includes pearlescent pigments to create a super bright, multi-dimensional shine.
Finally, the formula is very glittery. It really does sparkle. In fact, it looks like it is wet. Therefore, it gives you a high impact diamond sparkle. Yes, it is an intense! Hi Lite Cream!

Pale Gold 002
First, Pale Gold 002, a Gold shade, has an iridescent, metallic finish. In addition, the Gold Cream is super glittery!
And, it has lots of sparkle!
Astral Blue Star
Next, Astral Blue Star, a blue shade, has a brilliant pearlescent finish. For one thing, the Astral Blue Star is my favorite shade. You all know how much I love blue!! One, Blue is funky!
Two, blue is beautiful. Especially, blue is gorgeous as a sparkling shimmering highlighter. It has an out of this world quality. I’m in love with it! Talk about a dramatic look that’s fun? Go Blue!
Pat McGrath ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream —How To Apply?
Most important, remember that the formula dries down quickly. As a result, you gotta work fast. And, also remember to use the teeniest amount of product. You can build the product to achieve more impact.
Eyes
Use the ChromaLuxe Cream Hi Lite on your eyes for a glittering iridescence. First, you can put it on your eyelids. Next, use it on the inner corners of your eyes. Also, you can highlight your brow bones. Either, you can use a flat brush, or your fingertips to apply the Hi Lite Cream in layers. Furthermore, layer it until you reach the illumination you want.
Lips
First, Pat McGrath Labs suggest that you use the ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream on top of any Pat McGrath Matte Trance Lipstick. Although, I’m thinking, I would use it over any of my lipstick, to give them a diamond sparkle.
Face
Moreover, for a highlight effect that gives off a diamond sparkle, use your finger, or a fluffy brush, and highlight your Cupid’s bow.
First, illuminate your skin with your favorite foundation. Then, using a brush, softly apply the cream highlighter to the high points of your face. Additionally, if you want that insane glow that looks wet and bright, use a brush or your fingers to build up opacity. Continue building until you reach the level of shimmer you want.
Pat McGrath ChromaLuxe Hi Lite Cream Last But Not Least……….
I love sparkle and glitter. Therefore, I am in love with Pat McGrath’s Hi Lite Cream. However, I think the artist paint tube packaging is cute, and quite appropriate, but. First, it really is teeny tiny. In fact, it is smaller than a lip balm. Second, when you open the package, a lot of product squirts out. As a result, you lose a lot of product. Third, it is expensive to get0.23 oz, and lose a quarter of that when you open the tube! Although, we all want Pat McGrath Makeup, Right? So, we have to pay the big bucks for her makeup, right? And, honestly, her makeup is worth the money. I love everything I have from her line. And, I try to get everything!

Even when I saw the teensy tiny tubes, I still thought the packaging was gorgeous. Also, the Hi Lite Formula is awesome! I’m in love with my Astral Blue Highlighter.
