Unicorns are creatures that don’t exist in real life, but just go on the internet, and then you tell me they don’t exist. 
They exist on the internet! They have become a fun, kitschy trend that has taken the world by storm!
Unicorns started as a food trend on the internet.
Their sparkly, rainbow powers are found in foods such as Unicorn toast, 
Unicorn coffee, pink milk,
blue lattes, Unicorn grilled cheese,
bagels, pizza, cream and sugar, cocktails,
you name your food,
it has been converted into Unicorn food and has become rainbow colored!
Now, Unicorns have overtaken mermaids on the Internet with regard to makeup! 
There is Unicorn lipstick, Unicorn eyeliner, Unicorn makeup brushes, Unicorn glitter tears, and even Unicorn snot!
Any product that is iridescent, glittery, shimmery, with
rainbow colors and/or holograms is considered Unicorn makeup. 
Beauty companies are creating lots of unicorn-themed makeup to make all of us “shiny”! 
Tarte recently launched a Unicorn Makeup Collection. 
Jeffree Star has a Unicorn Blood lipstick, which has been in his line since 2015.
Two Faced Makeup came out with Unicorn Tears, a holographic sheen lipstick in 2016. This caused the Unicorn Trend to become an instant sensation. 
Even Christian Loubouton created a Unicorn nail polish! On You Tube there are more than 6,400 Unicorn Tutorials!
There are several explanations as to why Unicorn makeup has become so popular.
Unicorns represent the magic of our childhood, and that everything is going to be o.k. 
It’s about dreaming and believing in the magic of life, plus the rainbow colors that are associated with Unicorns offer a fantasy of options , something we all need a little more of these days!
It is a way to look unique. 
You don’t need to be perfect. 
This is a trend where you can have fun and be creative. There is no one set look! 
The colors are gutsy, and it allows you to think outside of the box!
People love change, and they love something new, something they’ve never seen before.
It is a very visual trend, which plays well on Instagram.
