First of all, I have to ask, “do you use a face primer?” Recently, I wrote about Illamasqua’s two hydrating primers, Hydra Veil and Beyond Veil. Here are two great face primers. One, Hydra Veil, is very moisturizing. Two, Beyond Veil is not only moisturizing, it also gives your skin luminosity. The Marc Jacobs Undercover Coconut Face Primer is also moisturizing. As a result, it does a great job hydrating your skin.
However, unlike Illamasqua, the Marc Jacobs Primer revolves around concentrated coconut extracts. In other words, five forms of a coconut enrich the Coconut Face Primer. In fact, Marc Jacobs Beauty has a collection of coconut products. These include, Limited Editions Coconut Eye-Conic Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette; and Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter. In addition, the other products in the collection are Finish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder; and Re-Cover Perfecting Coconut Setting Spray. Have you wondered where the idea to use coconuts came from? Marc Jacobs loves coconut water, and “the deconstructed coconut!”
You can find the Marc Jacobs Undercover Coconut Face Primer at Sephora, and on the Marc Jacobs Website. In addition, it retails for $44.
Marc Jacobs UnderCover Coconut Face Primer Packaging
The Coconut Face Primer comes in a glass bottle. Moreover, a pump dispenses the formula. I love the idea of a pump. First, it pumps the right amount of formula you’ll need for your face. Also, the pump is a very hygienic way to deliver the formula.
Marc Jacobs UnderCover Coconut Face Primer Formula
First of all, allow me to “deconstruct” the coconut for you. There are five forms of coconut that create the formula. In addition, these five ingredients are what primes and smooths your skin! Also, the formula is a fluid. And, it feels light and soft.
Coconut Fruit
First, the Coconut Fruit creates juice and pulp, to give you skin-boosting vitamins.
Coconut Water
Next, Cold-Pressed Coconut Water provides nutrients for your skin. Additionally, the coconut water smooths your skin, creates a smooth canvas for foundation.
Coconut Milk
Furthermore, Coconut Milk primes and soothes you skin. Also, it blurs imperfections.
Coconut Polysaccharides
Also, Coconut Polysaccharides prime your complexion.
Coconut Extract
Concentrated Coconut Extract create a natural coconut fragrance.
Marc Jacobs UnderCover Coconut Face Primer Last But Not Least……….
Shake the bottle so that you mix up the formula. Otherwise, your first pump will spritz out water. Instead, expect a milky, translucent fluid. Next, the primer feels like you are rubbing in a moisturizer. And, it absorbs into the skin quickly. I have extremely dry skin. As a result, I prefer a primer that also hydrates my skin.
However, if you are oily, you may not like this one. It may be too hydrating for you. It could cause your makeup to move around your face. Furthermore, throughout the day, your face may become oily. As a result, you’ll need to put some powder on.
On the other hand, for me, and other people with dry skin, the primer does have staying powder. In addition, it made my face smooth. A smooth canvas is the best way to apply your foundation. Last, it creates a nutrient-rich barrier between your skin and your makeup.
Did my makeup last all day? Well, let me say this, it lasted as long as many other primers I’ve tried. But, if you really want your makeup to last, use a setting spray Two of my favorites are, Cover Fx Illuminating Setting Spray, and Urban Decay All Nighter. On the other hand, if you want a hydrating, moisturizing barrier between your skin and your makeup, the Coconut Face Primer is a good choice.
