The outer box, a metallic gold, with a rose on the front. and Black writing, is recyclable. 
The soft white plastic case has a metallic gold rose on the center of the lid. There is a gold rim around the center of the case with a Lancome button, where you push to open the compact. 
Then, lift up on the lid, and underneath the lid is a full-round-sized mirror. On the other side of the compact is a white lid. Also, a spatula, inside a plastic pouch, is on the lid. Then, lift that lid up to a third white lid.
this lid is a paper lid, with a gold flower in the center. Find the tab and lift the paper off of the case. 
Underneath the paper lid is the pan, with the solid primer inside. 
To close the lid, simply press down on the lid until you hear it click closed.
The case is refillable. This is great for two reasons. First, it helps save the environment. Second, it saves you money. The refill is ten dollars less. than the whole palette.
The case is so pretty it looks great sitting on top of your vanity.
