It’s that time of year again! For one thing, it’s time for Holiday 2019 , even if Halloween was just last week! As a result, I have been reviewing eyeshadow palettes like crazy! So, today it’s Marc Jacob’s turn. And, his 2019 Holiday Palette is the Marc Jacobs Electrik Eye-conic Palette. However, let me backtrack for a minute. First of all,I think his most exciting Holiday Palette was his 2017 Eye-Conic Marc Jacobs Palette, The Wild One. First, it was an extension of his Eye-Conic Collection. Furthermore, there were 20 eyeshadows in the Wild One Palette. In addition, the shades, like the name, are pretty wild!
On the other hand, Marc Jacob’s 2018 Holiday Palette, Steeletto is one of his more neutral eyeshadow palettes. In fact, it could be his most wearable Eye-Conic Palette to date. In fact, Steeletto’s most notable shades are grey, and a dusky purple. As a result, it is these two shades you’d smoke out to create a smoky eye look. New for 2019, Marc Jacobs Electrik Eye-Conic palette is more in keeping with his seven shade Eye-Conic palettes. Therefore, the Electrik Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette features 7 shades. Three shades have matte finishes. One shade has a satin finish. Last,, three shades have a shimmery metallic finish.
You can find Marc Jacobs Electrik Holiday Palette at Sephora, Neiman Marcus and on marcjacobsbeauty.com. Furthermore, the Electrik Holiday Palette costs $49.50.
Marc Jacobs Electrik Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette Packaging
To begin with, glam-rock inspired the reflective glitter case. Therefore, the Electrik case isn’t like the case for the rest of he Eye-Conic Collection. Marc Jacobs Electrik , a limited edition, won’t be in the permanent collection. Therefore, the packaging is different than the rest of the collection. Another reason is, Elektric is a holiday palette. Although, the slim shape of the palette is the same.
Once opened, there is a protective, shiny black plastic sheet that covers the eyeshadows. Furthermore, the case comes with a nice mirror. On the other side are the seven eyeshadow pans. One thing I love is the ruby-like stone mechanism on the outside of the case. All you need to do is push it in and the case opens.
Marc Jacobs Electrik Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette Formula
First of all, Electrik’s Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette formula is the formula for all the Eye-Conic eyeshadow palettes. First, the shadows have advanced pigments that create a true color payoff. As a result, the shadows are long-wearing. Then, the three shades with matte finishes have soft pigments that blend easily. Moreover, the mattes don’t have too much fallout. Then, the pressed glitter shadows are also easy to apply. All of the shadows feel like silky butter to the touch. And, you can layer the shadows. Also, they blend easily. Finally, the shadows are long-lasting.

Second, Feel, a warm beige shade, has a buttery matte finish. Also, wear this shade as a warmer base, all over your eyelids. Also, use this in your crease. Last, Feel makes an excellent transition shade.
Rhythm
Third, Rhythm, a chocolate brown shade with red undertones, has a buttery matte finish. To start with, Rhythm is perfect as your crease shade. Also, use it in the outer corners of your eyes. Then, line your lower lash lines with this perfect brown shade.
Glittering
Then, Glittering, a warm pink-red shade with red and silver glitter, has a sparkling metallic finish. First, use this gorgeous shade all over your eyelids. Also, use this shade in your crease. Marc Jacobs Electrik Eye-Conic Eyeshadow Palette Last But Not Least……..
Favorite Shades
Let’s start with the shades I love. First, I love the dark brown with red undertones because it makes an amazing crease shade. Furthermore, I would wear this as my crease shade with all of the shades in the palette. Then, I would layer one of the sparkly metallic shades on the crease. In this way, You would layer shades to make a more dramatic eye. And, remember, this is the time of the year when you want to go for it! It is the Holiday Season, so be festive!
Next, I like the silver shade. I would love this on the inner corners of my eyes. Last, I love both pink sparkly metallic shades. First, Glittering is probably my favorite because it has lots of red in it. Although, In Stardust is also a cool shade because of the red, silver and green glitters in it. Additionally, I always love popping these glittering metallic shades in the centers of my eyelids. This gives your look the wow factor! And, it makes your eyes pop!
The three matte shades are nice, but, let’s face it, they are dupable. The soft matte shades are background shades that you can build and layer with the more exciting metallic shades. Now, the deep dark black shade is great for really intense looks. So, have fun smoking it out, and lining your eyes with it!
Finally
Finally, all of the shades can be used wet, or dry. In order to do this, use a damp brush and dab the glittery shades on the center of your eyelids. Another way to apply the glitter shades is to use your fingers. In fact, it is probably the easiest way to use the glitters without making a huge mess.
Last, I am a fan of Marc Jacobs. I think some of his eyeshadow palettes are gorgeous. However, he really bases his colors on his runway looks, and the fabrics and textures he uses for his shows. I do like some of the shades in this palette. Although, it didn’t rock my socks off like the 2017 Wild One Palette. But, I liked it more than the Steeletto palette. For me, the Steeletto was too, too ordinary! Neutrals are fine, but who wants neutrals for the holidays? Do you? I want to hear what you think of the Electrik Palette, and any other palettes you are loving this Holiday Season! Leave me a message in the comments below.
