Julep Cushion Complexion 5 in 1 Skin Perfector With Turmeric

Julep Cushion Complexion 5 in 1 Skin Perfector With Turmeric ($24) performs five different tasks.  It conceals, corrects, illuminates, blurs, and brightens.  It can also be used as a foundation.   The formula is buildable, and gives medium to full coverage, and a natural demi-matte finish.

The applicator has a twist bottom. Twist it several times the first time you use it , until the formula dispenses out of the cushion applicator.  There is a window on the applicator that informs you when the formula begins to run out of the applicator so you can order a new one.  

The cushion is flocked .  When the Perfector dispenses onto the cushion,  dab the cushion onto your face in the spots where you need the perfector. Then the corrector can be blended into the skin.

It conceals dark circles, acne, hyperpigmentation and smile lines!

It corrects by neutralizing redness and inflammation.

It illuminates to bring out the high points of your face, acting as a highlighter.

It blurs because of the soft-focus powders in the ingredients that diffuse imperfections.

It brightens the skin for the long term with Turmeric Extract.

 

The ingredients include Turmeric Extract- a long-term brightener that contains antioxidants with inflammatory properties.nourishes .

Camellia Seed Oil is a popular ingredient used in Korean and Japanese skin care.  It calms skin and has nourishing and moisturizing properties.

Soft-Focus Powders blur imperfections, and fine lines while creating a demi-matte finish.

There are 18 shades to choose from,  To determine your shade range, choose whether you are Light, Medium, Tan or Deep.

Next, determine whether your skin’s undertone is Cool, Neutral or Warm.

I am olive complected with a warm undertone.  The shade I chose is Medium Beige with a Warm Undertone.  If you are between two shades, always choose the lighter shade.

The cushion applicator is easy to use and I was able to get a precise application on the areas I wanted to correct and cover.  I have used it to spot correct and to conceal under my eyes, and anywhere on my face that needed concealing.  The applicator is easy to travel with or keep in my handbag for touch ups.  It is not cakey and it does a great job covering any imperfections.  It is buildable, and it lasts a long time.  It blends into my skin seamlessly.  I also use it to brighten under my eyes, and to illuminate the areas that need highlighting on the high places of my face , under my eyebrows, on my cheekbones, down the center of my nose and on my Cupid’s bow.  I would only use it as a foundation in a pinch, because the tube doesn’t have the amount of product as a full bottle of foundation, and I wouldn’t want to use it up.  It would be great if Julep would create a real foundation product along the lines of the Cushion Complexion Skin Perfector that has more product in it, and a larger cushion applicator.
