There are three Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palettes to choose from. I loved the new packaging so much, I purchased all three of them. The Palettes are Elephant, Tiger and Butterfly. Even more, 5% of the profits, from your purchases of any of the three new Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palettes, are going to to the Non-human Rights Project. Did you know, “Unlocked” signifies the unlocking of animal cages. Hourglass founder, Carisa Janes, saw the documentary “Unlocked” and sprung to action against animal cruelty. As a result, in 2020, the brand became 100% cruelty-free and vegan! This philanthropic gesture makes me love Hourglass and want to support the brand, even more!

You can customize your palette only on the Hourglass Website. You choose which artist compact you love. Then you pick the colorstory you want to go into the compact. The limited edition packaging artwork was designed by artist Katie Scott. 
The artwork on each outer box is the same artwork on the compact. Also, the compact is made from aluminum, which is a good choice, because aluminum can be recycled. The outer box is FSC Mix. FSC is the Forest Stewardship Council, and FSC Mix: Means all wood, paper and/or other wood-based materials within the product come from FSC-certified material, recycled material or controlled wood. FSC certification enables businesses and consumers to choose wood, paper and other forest products made with materials from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources. 
The tin compact has a groove opening, and a magnetic connect. 
Inside, there is a wide mirror underneath the lid. The tin is heavy, so the mirror doesn’t stand on its own. On the other side of the palette are six pans, on two horizontal rows of three pans each. The pans hold the blush, bronzer, highlighter and finishing powders.
The formula uses photoluminescent technology, which relies on blurring, luminosity and radiance to diminish skin imperfections, without actually looking like a powder.
The powders, hand mixed, and made in Italy, have an airy, light, delicate texture.
The Cruelty Free and Vegan formulas are without alcohol, gluten, parabens, phthalates, sulfates, talc, BHA/BHT, silicon D5, GMO, triclosan, and mineral oil.

I purchased the three Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palettes so that you don’t have to. From a practical standpoint, the point of having a palette is to condense your essential makeup Products into one palette. The products that can complete all of your needs should include setting powder, highlighter, bronzer and blush. All of these palettes will do that for you. So, choose the palette that speaks directly to you and your needs. If your complexion is deep, or you are tan, go with the deepest palette, the Tiger Palette. If you are fair, or light to light medium, go with the lightest palette, the Butterfly Palette. For me, my perfect match is the Elephant palette, the shades are perfect for medium-light to medium complexions. All of the palettes are beautiful. 
And, I love that 5% of the proceeds go to uncaging animals captured in the wild. Plus, one of these palettes would make a gorgeous gift!
