The Dior 5 Couleurs Couture 509 Golden Bouquet Palette , new, exclusive and limited edition, is an interesting palette. Also, it is a very Couture Canvas that expresses Dior Creativity. The palette revolves around one, dark, pigmented shade, and four light shades surrounding it.  In pictures, the shades surrounding the dark center shade look similar.  Not so in person, where you can see how different these beige, golden and brown shades really are..  Also, I think this palette was originally created for the Asian Audience.  I guess we were lucky to have the opportunity to experience this palette.  I was surprised at how wearable the shades are.  Plus, you do not need to be fair, or light to wear these shades.  I am more medium, and I love that the shades and the texture of the 509 Golden Bouquet Dior 5 Couleurs Couture Palette .  The palette works for all skin tones.  When I first saw the palette, I immediately felt it would look amazing in the winter months.  The lighter shades are sheer, and bring beautiful light to your eyes.

You can find the Limited Edition Dior Golden Bouquet 5 Couleurs Couture Palette on the Dior Website.  The Golden Bouquet Palette ( 0.24 oz./ 7g) costs $69.

The packaging is signature Dior, 5 Couleurs Couture, a midnight navy outer packaging box, with silver writing.  The compact, also midnight blue, with silver writing, and a silver mechanism to open the palette.  To close the palette, simply push down on the lid until you hear a click.  One thing I’ve noticed, recently,  with the Dior 5 Couleurs Couture palettes is the absence of a dust bag.  Just sayin.  Inside, the palette has a nice sized mirror underneath the lid.  On the other side of the palette are the five pans of eyeshadows.  The shadows have a delicate floral design embossed on them.  The center pan is a diamond shape, with the four light shades surrounding the diamond shade, two light shades at the top, and two light shades at the bottom of the palette.  Also included with the palette are two dual-ended applicators.  One applicator is a dual-ended sponge applicator, with a fat sponge on one side, and a pointed sponge for detail work.  The other applicator is dual ended brushes, a straight brush on one end, and a slanted brush on the other end.

Finally the outer box , made with FSC Mix.  Just as we depend on forests, forests depend on us. At the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) we unite citizens, businesses, governments, and NGOs under a common goal: protecting healthy, resilient forests for all, forever. . The product is made with a mixture of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled materials, and/or FSC-controlled wood.

Also, Dior has a partnership with Eastman, a global specialty material provider.  Resins are being made from plastic waste instead of fossil based feedstocks using Eastman’s cutting-edge Advanced Circular Recycling technologies. These innovative technologies turn waste plastic away from landfills, give it new life, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The formula for the Dior Golden Bouquet Palette, an ultra-fine powder, delivers immediate long-wear color intensity, that can be used on all skin tones!  The dark shade is richly pigmented, and very wearable.  All of the shades are creamy and comfortable.  The shades do not migrate into the crease.  The shades feel soft and creamy.  They are easy to apply.  Also, you can layer the shades, and the shades are buildable for more intense color payoff.  The shadows have a beautiful, satiny texture, and are long-lasting.

The Shades

Swatches left to right: Center, Top Left,
Top Right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right

Center Shade

The Center Shade, a deep milk chocolate brown shade, has a satiny matte finish.  This is the star of the palette.  You can wear this shade to add definition, line your lower lash line, outer corners, outer V, and smoke it out.  Also you can wear it in the crease of your eyes.  Or, make this shade the star, and wear it across your eyelids, through your crease, and line your lower lash line with the brown shade.

Top Left Shade

The top left shade, a light beige shade with golden undertones, has a satin finish. Wear this shade as a pop of color in the center of your eyes.  Also, wear this shade on your eyelids.  Or, wear it on the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bones to highlight.

Top Right Shade

The Top Right Shade, a bone white shade with a pink undertone, has a satiny finish.  Wear this shade on the inner corners of your eyes, and on your brow bone.

Swatches Left to Right: Dark Brown Center, Top left, Top right, Bottom Left, Bottom Right

Bottom Left Shade

The bottom left shade, a deeper golden shade with a hint of light bronze, has a satin finish.    Wear this shade all over the eyelids.  Or wear it in your crease.  To create a no makeup makeup look, line your eyes with this satiny gold/bronze shade.I consider this shade the medium shade in the palette.

Bottom Right Shade

The Bottom Right shade, a light golden shade, has a satin finish.  This shade can be used all over the lid, for a sheer look, or wear it on top of another color, in the center of your eye to make your eyes pop.  Also, wear this golden shade as a highlighter on your brow bones, and on the inner corners of your eyes.

Finally, you can wear any one of the light shades as a one and done, just to add light to your eyes. The light shades are very sheer.  Layer them if you want more color payoff.

shades top right, bottom left, bottom right applied with a damp brush

Or, use a damp brush, and apply the shadow for more intensity.  Or, use one of the light shades, and save the the light bronze shade, which is more medium than the other three light shades, to line and define your eyes, and wear in outer corners.  Of course, to really define your eyes, line your upper and lower lash lines with the deeper brown, center shade, and  apply to the outer corners, and outer V.  Use any of the other three shades all over your lids. There is more than meets the eye with this palette.  I think you will have  as much fun as I am having, discovering how to use these shades.
