Catch The Wave: Julep Sea Salt Textured Hair Spray

TipsTrendsWhatever

Let’s Talk Beach Hair.  You know, the hair you get when you’ve spent a day on the beach. The even better beach hair look after you’ve had a swim in the ocean, and the salty ocean water sinks into your hair, and your hair dries with the ocean water while you’re tanning on the beach!  Can we really get that hair from a bottle? Julep-sea-salt-textured-hair-spray So, I received a full-sized bottle of the Bazaar Editor’s Choice The Beauty 150 Award Winning Julep Sea Salt Textured Hair Spray ($17.60)  in my June Maven Box, a customized monthly subscription Beauty Box where you choose full sized beauty and nail polish products from the newest Julep collections, and I couldn’t wait to give myself “a day at the beach and a swim in the ocean” hair.Julep-textured-sea-salt-hairspray-ingredients

The formula includes sea salt water that is infused with a combination of marine botanicals that provide intense moisture and essential nourishment to hair.  It also protects hair from sun damage. Julep-textured-seasalt-hair-spray-for-wavy-hair-just-off-the-beach

It claims to create beachy, tousled waves and weightless volume to hair.  If your hair is fine, curly or wavy, it will give it volume and add “piecey” texture.

I sprayed my hair, evenly throughout , and I let it dry naturally.  My hair is a tiny bit wavy, but I usually have it blown dry straight.  I have long hair that goes a little more than halfway down my back.  I kept scrunching it as it was drying.  I really liked the scent of the hair spray, it reminded me of the way it smells on the beach.  It is a subtle, clean scent.  It didn’t hold a wavy texture in my hair, but it did add a nice amount of volume to my hair.  Then I read that Julep suggests on long, straight hair, to twist your hair instead of scrunching it.  This is supposed to help prevent frizz and put the beach textured waves into the hair.  I divided my hair into sections, and I twisted each section away from my face, all the way down to the tips, and let it dry.  The more sections, the tighter the waves.  It took a long time to dry, but it worked, just like if I had just left the beach.  Julep-textured-spary-for-hair-sea-salt-sea-air-

I was happy with my results, after I twisted my hair and let it dry.  It didn’t make my hair hard, crunchy or sticky.  I loved the smell of my hair!  It adds great volume.  And, especially because I color my hair, I love that it protects hair from sun damage, and gives it moisture and nourishment.

You Are Awesome!
