Who doesn’t want the latest and the greatest skincare? Every day a new skincare cream is released, and we hope it will be the one, the miracle , the “fountain of youth” for our skin. Believe me, if there was such a miracle cream we’d all know about it, and it would be sitting on all of our vanities. Am I right? But, so far it hasn’t been discovered yet. So what do we do in the meantime? We look for products that contain actual proven ingredients. They exist. These are the anti-aging ingredients that exist, and having produced noticeable improvements in all the signs of aging, they have proved they are worthy of being on the top. At the top of the list are Ceramides , the most important ingredient you need for healthy, youthful skin.
Ceramides are vital for smooth supple skin because they are important in terms of moisturizing and repairing the barrier of the skin.
Ceramides are fats that make up 35-40% of the binding matrix that maintains moisture and protects the surface of the skin. They are the glue that hold the skin cells together and they help maintain the skin’s appearance.
Think of skin cells as bricks. The skin cells (bricks) must stick together to create the barrier of the skin. Ceramides are the mortar that holds the (bricks) skin cells together. The barrier’s function is to waterproof the outside of the skin, and hold the water (moisture) in, down into the deep layers of the skin.
Sun damage, a dry environment, irritation, and aging are factors that decrease the Ceramides in your skin, and leave your skin vulnerable. Basically, when the mortar breaks down the bricks (skin cells) separate. This increases what is called transdermal water-loss. When that occurs, the skin becomes dry and wrinkles appear. And then, collagen and elastin breakdown and the skin loses it’s elasticity and tone. And the bad news, nothing will work at this point. By this, I mean, there are no other strategies that can be of any help when you lose the water in your skin. Not making collagen, not building cells, and not working the dna of telomeres – nothing will be able to improve your skin if there is a “low water environment” and you lose water. They are not kidding when they say the key to healthy skin is 1. moisturize, 2. moisturize, 3. moisturize!!! The lesson here, first and foremost, is to keep the water deep into your skin. When you lose that water? The low water environment will break down collagen and kill off the skin cells. That is why Ceramides are the most important things you can do for healthy skin.
Creams are o.k. to use. It is important to make certain ceramides are included in your skin care creams and serums. But, creams and serums and lotions are band-aids. They don’t solve the problem. And you must solve the problem of water loss. According to Dr. Mike Smith from the Life Extension Institute, taking a Ceramide supplement internally is the proven solution that will rebuild the (mortar) from the inside out, and hold the skin cells together.
Ceramides can be extracted from Wheat Germ Oil and Rice Germ Oil, naturally. The technology pulls the fats from organic wheat germ oil only, and it leaves behind the allergens and gluten that make people allergic.
If you consider taking a Ceramide Supplement, you will see result in approximately four weeks. Your skin will appear smooth and supple, and fine lines, wrinkles and age spots will improve. The most important thing to remember is the only way this will be a permanent solution for your skin is if you are consistent, and remember to make the supplement a part of your Daily Regime.
Then, according to the research, you can achieve results. I think it’s worth the effort to give this a try. I am definitely going to give this a try, and I will report back to you in approximately two months with my own results.
You Are Awesome!
