Every Summer Tom Ford does his ode to summer , a collection of beauty and fragrance. The part of these collections I love the most has, and still is, the eyeshadow palettes. The highly anticipated , Limited Edition, Tom Ford Summer 2023 , Soleil De Feu Collection, includes in the collection A New Summer Fragrance, Soleil De Feu, Two Highlighters, Two Lip Balms and the stars of every TF summer collection, two new, limited edition eyeshadow palettes. This year is no acception. The Soleil De Feu Eyeshadow Palettes will remind you of the,”molten sun descending in a burnished blaze over the sea,” they are gorgeous. First, 02-Tropical Dust, is described as cool bronze tones with a mid tone pink shade. The other palette, 01 Island Haze, is described as a warm peachy-copper hued palette. Both of the palette eyeshadow shades come in matte and shimmer finishes
You can find the Tom Ford Soleil De Feu Eyeshadow Palettes at Sephora, Beautylish, Saks Fifth Avenue, Selfridges, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Bergdorf Goodman and on the Tom Ford Website. Each of the Soleil De Feu Eyeshadow Palettes ( 0.35 oz./ 10 g) cost $90.
The Limited Edition Soleil De Feu Eyeshadow Palettes come packaged in limited edition Soleil De Feu Packaging. The recyclable outer box is metallic bronze with white writing. 
The plastic compact is also a metallic bronze shade, with writing in white. Inside, there is a mirror underneath the lid. 
Opposite the mirror are the four eyeshadows. The compact comes with two dual-ended applicators. 
The applicators that come with the palettes are handy to use for inner corners, and small areas. 
Also, they come in handy for touch ups and travel. 
There is a protective plastic cover over the shades.
The formula for both the Tropical Dusk and the Island Haze Palettes is pressed powder. The powder is finely milled. The two mattes feel drier in the pan, as they are made from cornstarch, Kaolin, and talc. They apply beautifully to the eyes, with no problem. There is one shimmer shade, and one shade that looks very shimmery in the pan. This shade doesn’t have much opacity. The reason is, this shade is meant to be used as a topper. The shimmery shade in both palettes is super soft and it almost looks satiny. There is a tiny bit of kick back from the mattes. The shades are pigmented, except for the toppers, which are sparkly.

01-Island Haze
Top Row Left to Right
Top Row Left – a very light nude brownish-pink shade has a matte finish. 
This shade is extremely light. You could use it as an all over base shade, a highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes, and on the brow bone.
Top Row Right – a gold shade, has a shimmering finish. 
This shade should be used as a topper shade, on top of another shade to add depth and definition. and some sparkle to the matte shades. 
Also, you can lightly dust the gold shade over you entire eye look.
Bottom Row Left to Right
Bottom Row Left- a burnt orange shade, has a matte finish. 
One way to wear this burnt orange shade is to line, and define your eyes. 
You can wear it in the outer corners of your eyes, and in your crease. Also, use it to line your upper and/or lower lash lines.
Bottom Row Right – a deep reddish-copper shade has a shimmer finish. 
Wear this shade on the outer half of your eyelids. It also looks really pretty all over your eyelids. Also, wear it to line your upper or lower lash lines.
02 Tropical Dusk
Top Row Left to Right
Top Row Left – a soft nude shade , has a shimmering finish. 
This is a super soft satiny shade. One way to wear this shade is in the inner corners of your eyes. For a one and done, wear it on your eyelids. Or, you can wear this shade as a liner, on your lower lash lines.
Top Row Right – a medium pink shade, has a matte finish. 
This shade can be worn all over the eyelids. 
Then, put the topper shade over the pink shade to give it a different effect.
Bottom Row Left to Right
Bottom Row Left – a neutral/gold shade has a shimmering finish. 
This shade doesn’t have much opacity, and is meant to be worn as a topper, over the matte shade, or over the eye look you create.
Bottom Row Right- a coco brown shade, has a matte finish. 
Wear this brown shade to line and define your eyes. You can wear it on your outer corners, in your crease, and wear it to line your upper and lower lash lines.
Both of these eyeshadow palettes are really beautiful. The Island Haze Palette, is the warm palette. The fiery ember hues of the Island Haze palette creates a coppery looks. The Tropical Dusk Palette, with cool bronze tones and a mid tone pink shade, creates neutral looks with a little bit of shimmer. Both palettes are really different from one another, and each will create gorgeous day and night looks. I love both palettes, because they are so different from one another.
