Interestingly, there is more to makeup than meets the eye. First, it all starts with the packaging. Then it’s all about the colors, and formulas are extremely important. All of these things create your full experience. Yes, makeup is not just the results you get in the end. Instead, it is all about your experience from the packaging, to the end result, and everything in between! As a result, the New, Unique, Nars Air Matte Blush is a great example of enjoying the “experience”. One reason is, the sensorial experience that the Nars Air Matte Blush creates for you. For one thing, this unique mousse blush starts off feeling soft and cushiony in the jar. Once the formula hits your skin, the blush morphs, instantly, into a velvety powder! The end result, your final experience, is that long-lasting natural-looking, diffused flush of color on your cheeks.
The Nars Air Matte Blush Packaging
First, the outer box for the Air Matte Blush is the signature matte black Nars box with white writing. Then, the blush comes in a small Nars jar, with the traditional black matte screw on lid.. Therefore, it is sleek and simple. One thing I love is you can see the color of the blush through the jar. It makes it easy to find, if you have different shades of the blush.
The Formula For The Nars Air Matte Blush
To start, the formula starts out being a mousse in a jar. Although, the minute the formula hits your skin, the mousse transforms into a velvety powder. Next, the formula includes jojoba gel so the blush easily glides over the skin. Also, it makes it easier for you to build a custom color payoff since the formula is sheer. Above all, it creates the “plush to the touch” sensorial experience.
In fact, the formula contains Color Diffusion Complex, a blend of silky polymers and micro-powders, that instantly diffuse colors, for a sheer, cloud-like wash of color. Even more, passion fruit oil adds a boost of antioxidants to the formula.
The Nars Air Matte Blush Shades
First, on the Nars Website, there are eight different shades. However, on the ULTA website, there are only four of the 8 shades. I purchased two of the shades. One of the shades, Torch, is only on the Nars Website. The other shade I purchased, Scandalous, is on both the Nars and Ulta Websites. Another shade, the most famous Nars Shade, Orgasm, is on both websites.
To begin, Torch, a coral red shade, has a soft matte finish.
Next, Scandalous, a burgundy shade, has a soft matte finish.
The shades I didn’t buy are Hushed, a light nude shade. Also, Orgasm, a peachy pink, has gold shimmer. Next, Rush is a peach shade, and Gasp is a rose bronze shade. Finally, Freedom is a mauve shade and Darling is light pink. All of the shades have a soft matte finish.
There is a shade here for everyone. Apply the shades with your fingers. Although, I was looking for a more intense, not so sheer color. As a result, I like to use a synthetic brush with stiff bristles.
My Final Thoughts on The Nars Air Matte Blush …..
First, I wasn’t sure the blush would last long. Wrong! The blush lasted all day, until I washed it off. Also, I am not a sheer blush girl. So, I used a stiffer, synthetic brush, and one swipe was all I needed for great color payoff. As a result, I love the Air Matte Blush so much, I can’t wait to try the Air Matte Lips!
