Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

BlushFaceMakeup

Last September, Selena Gomez launched her makeup line, Rare Beauty.  One percent of all Rare Beauty Sales goes to support mental health services.  Above all, the message of the Rare Beauty makeup is to go beyond the products and boost our self-esteem.  As a result, she wants us to know that we are all “Rare Beauties.” Today, I am going to review Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush.

All of the Rare Beauty products are ours to do with what we want.  On one hand, we can use the makeup to create a full-blown makeup look.  On the other hand, we can use the makeup sparingly, and create the no-makeup-makeup look.  The bottom line is, to wear the makeup to create our own beauty Rare!  So far, I have tried The Melting Blush.  I was really impressed with this formula.  As a result, I wanted to try the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, which is totally different from the Melting Blush.

You can find the entire Rare Beauty Collection, including the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, at Sephora and on the Rare Beauty Website.  Additionally, the Liquid Blush (0.25 fl. oz./7.5 mL) costs $20.

To begin with, the liquid blush comes in a small, frosted bottle.  Also, the bottle has a rounded gold lid. Even more, the lid is easy to open, by twisting the round hardware  lid, which, once off, becomes the handle to a doe-foot applicator. The bottle reminds me of a cross between a lip gloss, and a nail polish. Therefore, it is travel-friendly and user-friendly.  The doe foot is slanted and flocked. In addition, the doe foot is thicker, and squatter than a lip gloss applicator.  The reason is, you are supposed to use it to dab a drop of the liquid blush, onto your cheeks.

The Formula For The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush

First of all, the formula for this blush, like the formula for the Melting Blush, is very impressive. One reason is the formula is packed with pigment.  As a result, one pin drop was more than enough for one cheek. Therefore, the bottle will last a very long time to get to the bottom.  More, the slanted applicator foot is not realistic, because one dab of the doe foot will be way too much!  You really only need less than a drop.

In addition, the liquid formula is weightless. It gives you a blended, smooth, natural-looking flush, if you don’t over do it.  The first time I applied the blush, I looked like a clown.  Even more, the vibrant, intense color is easy to blend.  In fact, it blends into the skin and leaves a natural-looking flush. Also, the blush is buildable.  However, I don’t think you will need to build the blush, unless you use less than half of a pin prick.  Once it dries down, the blush doesn’t move. It lasts all day.  I suggest you practice before you use it.

First, the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, comes in 8 shades.  In addition, the formula comes in two finishes, matte and dewy.  There are four shades in matte, and four shades in dewy finishes. I purchased two shades, Grateful and Lucky. Both of these shades have dewy finishes.

The other six shades are Love, a terracotta shade, has a matte finish; Faith, a deep berry shade, has a matte finish, Bliss, a nude pink shade, has a matte finish, and Grace, a bright rose mauve shade, has a matte finish.

Then, Happy, a cool pink shade, has a dewy finish, and Joy, a muted peach shade, has a dewy finish.

The shades I purchased are Grateful, a true red shade, has a dewy finish. Also, Lucky, a hot pink shade, has a dewy finish.

My Final Thoughts On The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush…….

SWATCHES : GRATEFUL ON TOP, AND LUCKY ON BOTTOM

Wow, this blush is very pigmented.  Plus, it is a liquid.  Therefore, take it easy with the application.  The first time I tried it, I looked like a clown.  All you need a the tiniest drop for a flushed cheek.  Also, all of the shades can worn by all skin tones.  Finally, I’ve tried the two blush products in the Rare Beauty Collection.  I loved both of them.  I think the Melting Blush is easier to use.
