I’ve been looking for the perfect summer shades. For example, I love the look of warm tones with pops of color. Finally, I think I finally found a collection of summer shades that could almost be perfect. First, the collection is the new Jouer Tan Lines Summer Collection. In short, there are three components in this collection. First, is the Tan Lines Matte Shimmer and Luxe Foil Eyeshadow Palette. Second, is the Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette in Cheeky Summer. Last, are two Duochrome High Pigment Lip Glosses.
This is not the first time that Jouer came out with a summer collection. For example, for the summer of 2016, the year of the mermaid, was the Jouer’s summer eyeshadow palette, The Mermaid Iridescent Eyeshadow Palette. Then, in 2017, there was the Jouer Skinny Dip Ultra Foil Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette. Moreover, 2017 was when Jouer included highlighters and lip toppers, in Skinny Dip and Tan Lines, in their summer collection. Jouer has come a long way since then. As a result, the new , Limited Edition Jouer Tan Lines Summer Collection has hit it out of the ball park. Above all, it has shades that are perfect for the summer. Additionally, the shades include warm, shimmery terracottas and bronzes that will look amazing on every skintone. Furthermore, the shades have different finishes, from matte, and foiled eyeshadows, to shimmering blush, and duochrome lip glosses.
And, you can find the entire collection on the Jouer Website, and on Beautylish. The Tan Lines Matte, Shimmer, and luxe Foil Eyeshadow Palette costs $34. Next, The Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette in Cheeky Summer costs $30. Finally, the two Duochrome High Pigment Glosses cost $17 each.

Tan Lines Matte, Shimmer and Luxe Foil Eyeshadow Palette
The Palette has nine eyeshadows with pressed pigments. Also, the shadows come in three different finishes. The Shadows with the matte finish are dry and chalky. As a result, use an eyeshadow primer so that the mattes stick. Furthermore, most of the matte shades are not that pigmented. This is another reason to use a primer because the color shows up better. On the other hand, the shimmers are cream eyeshadows. They go on easily, blend well, and are crease and fade resistant. Lastly, the Luxe Foils give you a high color payoff. Also, they blend well with the other shades. They have a smooth texture. And, you can use them either wet or dry.
Duochrome High Pigment Pearl Lip Gloss
First of all, these are lip glosses. Therefore, do not mistake them for the Jouer Top Coat lip toppers. The lip glosses give you full coverage. Also, they have high shine. They are pigment-rich, pearl lip glosses. Above all, they shade shift depending on the angle where light hits.
Blush Bouquet Dual Blush In Cheeky Summer
The Blush Bouquet Dual Blush formula, enriched with vitamin E, makes the blush smooth and velvety. Furthermore, they blend easily and deliver full, rich pigments.

Beach-A-Holic, Shore Thing, and Heat Wave
To begin with, Beach-A-Holic, a warm apricot shade, has a Matte finish. Unfortunatley, this shade is dry and chalky. Also, it is not rich in pigments. Therefore, to make this shade work, you need to wear an eyeshadow primer. Or, you could wear a concealer. You do need something to grab the color to make it stick, and make it show up. I would wear Beach-A Holic as a base shade, all over the eye.
Next, Shore Thing, a warm peach gold shade has a shimmery finish. Also, this shade is a cream/ . Therefore, it glides on easily. And, it blends beautifully. Wear Shore Thing on top of the base shade, all over the lid. Also, you can put it on your brow bones, and on the inner corners of your eyes.
Third, Heat Wave, a warm, hot Coral shade, has a matte finish. Again, this matte is also difficult to work with because it is dry and chalky. Therefore, use a primer, and wear it all over your eyes.
Tankini, Driftwood, and Tidepool
Fourth, Tankini, a warm magenta/copper shade with a luxe foil finish. This is a gorgeous shade. I would wear this all over my eyelids, and up through the crease. Also, if I wore a brighter shade on the lid, I would wear tankini as a crease shade. Last, Tankini is a cream shade.
Fifth, Driftwood, a warm, camel/chocolate shade with a matte finish is easier to pick up than the first two mattes in the palette. As a result, you can wear this shade in your crease, in the outer corners of your eyes, and on your lower lash lines. Also, you can layer this under the cream shades to create a stronger color.
Sixth, Tidepool, a cool, is a metallic ocean blue shade, has a luxe foil finish. Don’t be afraid to wear color! In fact, summer is the best time of year to wear color. All you need to know is, you don’t have to splash it all over, you can use it in the corners of your eyes, or use it to line your lower lash lines. If you want to be more daring, wear it on your eyelids.
Vitamin Sea, Limelight, and Sunburst
Seventh, Vitamin Sea, a cool, light teal shade, that has a shimmer finish . I love this shade on your eyelid. Then, all you’ll need is mascara. and eyeliner.
Limelight, a warm lime green, has a matte finish. I put limelight on top of Tidepool on my eyelids. Then, I lined my upper lash lines with limelight. These colors are fun to play with.
Last, Sunburst, a warm, bright yellow has a shimmer finish. I mixed Sunburst with Limelight and created a gorgeous yellow green shade. And, it looks great as a liner, on the lower lash line. Play with these colors and see how many looks you’ll be able to create.
Jouer Tan Lines Summer Collection Last But Not Least………
First, I love the Lip glosses. They feel good on the lips, and I love the high shine. Above all, I love that they shade shift! How fun is that!!! The Cheek palette is beautiful. First, the two shades look amazing , mixed together, with a tan. Finally, the eyeshadow palette has some great shadows, and a few duds. I am not crazy about the matte finish formula. It is dry and chalky. Also, some of the shades were not that pigmented.
I loved the cream shades, the shimmers, and the duochromes. Finally, I love that the palette has some neutral shades, and some pops of color. So many palettes are sunsets, and sun rises these days. The Jouer Palette has some great shades to wear this summer. Do you need it? Do You want it? I wanted the whole collection, just because it was a little bit different than the rest of the summer shades out there!
