Hourglass features artwork on the Unlocked Palettes that celebrate nature’s beauty, and at the same time, helps unlock change to protect animal rights! This year, the Unlocked Palettes are Jellyfish, Leopard, and Snake! Hourglass gives 5% of the annual profits from the 2023 Hourglass Unlocked Collection to support The Nonhuman Rights Project, and their effort to secure fundamental rights for animals.
You can find the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Limited Edition Holiday Collection at Sephora, Bloomingdales, Blue Mercury and on the Hourglass Website. Each Holiday 2023 Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palettes (0.4oz./1.4g)x6 costs $90. Each of the palettes has all you will need to diffuse, enhance, and add glow your skin, making it appear as if it were lit from within!
First, the Limited Edition Palette artwork is by Kate Scott. Hourglass wanted to rid themselves of a plastic footprint, and replaced the plastic with 100% consciously crafted tin to create the compact. 
Also, the compact has a magnetic closure. 
On the inside, underneath the lid is a full-sized mirror. On the other side of the palette are two horizontal rows of three pans per row, of blush, highlighter, and bronzer.
The formula uses Photoluminescent Technology, which consists of Micron-size, color-correcting particles that capture, diffuse, and soften surrounding light to refine the skin’s appearance. Each individual powder is hand-mixed to create the perfect blend of pigment and light to provide a natural flush and radiant glow. 
The Hourglass formula is free of Alcohol, Gluten, Parabens, Phthalates, Sulfates, Talc, BHA/BHT, Silicone D5, GMO, Triclosan, and Mineral Oil. This product is vegan and cruelty-free.
The two palettes I purchased are Leopard Unlocked and Snake Unlocked.
Both palettes include new and old shades. Leopard includes 5 of Hourglass’ best sellers, and one new shade. Snake includes one old shade , Ambient Lighting Powder, Radiant Light, which is a Golden Beige shade. Then, there are five brand new shades, three new blush shades, a new bronzer, and a new metallic strobe lighting powder.

1-Dim Light Finishing Powder is a natural beige shade. You can wear Dim Light all over the face using a rounded end brush
2-Metallic Strobe Powder, Celestial Strobe Light is a pale gold shade. Apply the Celestial Strobe Light to the high points of the fac-the top of cheeks, bridge of nose, brow bone, and Cupid’s bow . This shade can be worn wet for a more intense highlight.
3-Mood Exposure Blush is a soft plum shade. Apply Mood Exposure Blush to the apples of your cheeks, and blend.

4- Iridescent Rose Blush is a soft warm rose shade. Apply this shade to the apples of your cheeks.
5- The Only New Shade in the Leopard Palette is Ethereal Flush, a soft peach shade. Apply as you would apply a blush, to the apples of your cheeks.
6-Bronzer, Lustrous Bronze Light is a golden bronze shade. Wear the Bronze shade along the temples, hollows of the cheeks, jawline for enhanced definition or sweep the bronzer all over for a sun-kissed, bronzed glow.

1- Finishing Powder Radiant Light is a Golden Beige shade. This shade is the only old shade in this palette. To wear this powder, dust it all over the face.
2- Blush Coral Haze is a pink-coral shade. For a neutral flush apply Coral Haze to the apples of the cheeks and blend in with a blush brush.
3- Metallic Strobe Powder, Infinite Strobe Light is a warm gold shade. Apply Infinite Strobe Light to the high points of the cheeks.

4-Blush Sun Beam, a rich peach shade, can be applied to the apples of the cheeks, and blend in with a blush brush.
5-Blush Mystic Flush, a mid-tone pink coral shade, can be worn on the apples of the cheeks, and blend in with a blush brush.
6-Bronzer Splar Bronze, a rich bronze shade, wear this bronze shade along the temples, the hollows of the cheeks , and jawline for enhanced definition, or sweep all over for a sun-kissed bronze glow.
Every year I purchase the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Limited Edition Holiday Palettes. I love the brand for several reasons. First, I am an animal lover, and am thrilled that each purchase means a percentage of that purchase contributes to the Nonhuman Animal Rights Project! The Project protects the fundamental rights of animals! Also, the brand is environmentally conscious, and uses clean ingredients in their products. One palette would make a great gift for the makeup lover in your life. I purchased two this year, and I will probably give one of the palettes to one of my daughter-in-laws. For me? I prefer the Snake palette because it has 5 new shades out of six. And the new shades are gorgeous!
