HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY to POTPOURRI OF WHATEVER!

We’ve made it!  

On March 18, 2016 Potpourri of Whatever went online!

 

I always wanted to write a blog about makeup, skincare, and whatever else inspires women to be empowered.   I needed to name it.  I asked my mom what she thought I should name it.  She asked me what I was going to blog about.  I replied,  “Whatever I feel like that will inspire women to feel empowered.”  She said, “you mean a potpourri of things, of what?”  I replied, ” Of Whatever”.

That is where the name, A Potpourri of Whatever,  came from.

On March 18, 2016, Potpourri of Whatever went online!!!!

 I was totally computer illiterate. I needed help. I needed a “blog tutor”.  I had to find someone who could teach me computer from the beginning, like, how to turn the computer on.   I am the luckiest girl in the world because I found  Andrew,  and he really is the best teacher in the whole world.  Andrew has taught me everything, and I mean everything there is about blogging, computers, picture taking, advertising, social media, and everything else –  if it is blog related, social media related, computer related, you name it, he had to teach it to me !  Without Andrew, none of this would have been possible. He created the Potpourri of Whatever web site.  Even today, Andrew patiently sits with me weekly, managing my site, and improving it as we go along.   Whatever success Potpourri of Whatever has ,  getting readers to sign up,  creating interest on social media, and taking steps to broaden Potpourri’s horizons,   Andrew keeps me and ,the blog, focused, challenged, and always moving forward .

Potpourri of Whatever has accomplished a lot in one year.  There are over 320 blog posts on the site. I continue to write blog posts six days a week.  Andrew has created all of our social media channels. Currently we are on facebook, and have developed a big following, as well as pintrest, instagram and twitter. Recently, we started our own You Tube Channel.  For now,  Andrew directs, produces, and edits the you tube videos. He knows he has another big job ahead of him when he has to  teach me how to edit the videos. Hey,  I’m still learning to take the blog photos!

Thank you  Bobbie Jean, the blog photographer. Believe me, all the best photographs  for sure, were taken by her. We sit together for hours , never saying a word to one other, because she is a picture perfectionist!  I am there to lend my arm for swatches, and to tell her what the blog is going to discuss.

And  my girls, Pinky, Bikini, and Jaymoo  have participated in many of the blog posts, gone on buying hauls with me, and  given me  feedback on the products, and advice on the blog! They even model for you sometimes.  They are the best cheerleaders  in the whole world, and have always been my biggest fans! I love them all so much!

And to you, my readers,  You Really Are Awesome!   I appreciate so much your comments( because I know late at night when I am typing away in my slippers, that I am not alone in the world) , your questions, and when you just stop by to say hi!   Please let me know if there are things you would like me to review, and I would love to know what inspires you.  I love you all!   I love writing for you!  I’ve learned so much, and I hope you have learned along with me!   Here is to another great year!  Again, thank you all so much.
