Ciate London is a top makeup brand in London, and sold in the US at Sephora. I love the brand. They are known for their nail polish which is amazing, but their makeup is equally amazing. I recently wrote about Ciate’s new eye shadows of which I am a huge fan. I also wrote about the Olivia Palermo special edition lipsticks which are also excellent. Their newest product, the Pretty Stix Lipstick ($20 Sephora), is a lipstick/lip balm hybrid that is infused with Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter (from the Astrocaryum Murumuru Palm seed) indigenous to the Amazon Rain forest, to condition and moisturize the lips, and the amino acid acting Tocopherol (vitamin E compound) that acts as an antioxidant.
What I loved about Pretty Stix Murumuru Butter Lipstick ……..is my lips felt amazing during and after wearing this very creamy lipstick. It is extremely emollient, so I would categorize this as a lip balm/lipstick especially due to the opaqueness of the color, because the Pretty Stix is very pigmented. I loved the buttery texture of the formula, the highly pigmented colors, the high shine of color on my lips, and I love the fact that it hydrates the lips deeply while giving you bold color at the same time! This is not a long-wearing lipstick! However, when it is on it feels great and looks great! And I think the packaging is really adorable!
