Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder

FaceMakeupPowder

Do you love a bit of shine on your face?  In other words, do you like to look like you are glowing from inside out?  How about a setting powder that adds some spice! Then, you should take a look at the New Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder.  First, it is a loose  translucent setting powder.  Next, it won’t give you a metallic sheen.  Instead, it will give you  a bright satin sheen.  Furthermore, Light Catcher is not a boring, same old, same old, setting powder.  Although, it does set your makeup for up to twelve hours. Also, the Laura Mercier Light Catcher, a multi-tasking powder, does a lot more. In fact, it is a setting powder that adds some spice!  Nice!

On the whole, Light Catcher creates added dimension to your face.  Use both a lighter shade, and a deeper shade for a multidimensional effect. Also, as a setting powder, it creates luminous light that blurs your pores.  Even more, the loose setting powder creates the look of smooth skin.  Since Light Catcher comes in three shades, you can mix two shades together.  In addition, use it to highlight the high points of your face.  Even more, use a darker shade to contour your face.  Or use it on your cheeks as a glowing, radiant shimmer.

You can find the Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, Saks Fifth Avenue and on the Laura Mercier Website.  Also, the Light Catcher Setting Powder (1 oz. / 29g) costs $39.

Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder Packaging

First, the outer boxes are metallic with white writing.  Each shade is a different metallic shade.  Therefore, the lightest shade, Celestial Light, is a silver metallic box, with a chocolate brown lid.  Next, the medium shade, Honey Star, comes in a yellow gold metallic box with a chocolate brown lid.  Finally, the deepest shade, Cosmic Rose, comes in a rose metallic box, with a chocolate brown lid.

Inside the box is a frosted, plastic jar of powder.  The lid is a screw on, screw off lid.  Again, the color of the lids corresponds with the color of the outer  boxes. For one thing, if you decide to purchase different shades of the powder, the color-coded lids makes it easy to find the shade you are looking for.

The Laura Mercier Translucent, Loose Light Catcher Setting Powder Formula

LAURA MERCIER LIGHT CATCHER SETTING POWDER INGREDIENTS

To start, the loose powder formula gives light coverage and a radiant finish.  Additionally, the formula is a finely-milled powder.  Next, there are five different sized pearl bits included in the formula.  As a result, some bits melt into the skin.  Other bits sit on top of the skin.  Even more, the weightless, multidimensional pearl blend, and botanical blurring powers work to blur and smooth the appearance of texture, pores, and fine lines.  Furthermore, amino acid skin conditioning powders melt into your skin.  And, the powders give your skin a seamless, undetectable finish.  Last, the formula contrasts and corrects your skin for up to 12 hours.  And, the formula is fragrance-free.

Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder Shades

The three Light Catcher Shades are Celestial Light, Honey Star, and Cosmic Rose.

Celestial Light

First, Celestial Light, a champagne beige shade, has a radiant finish.

First, if you only decide to choose one of the flavors, then Celestial Light is perfect if your complexion is fair to light.  However, you can mix Celestial Light with Honey Star, and use the new shade all over your face.  Also, Celestial Light is the perfect highlighter. Wear this champagne beige shade on the high points of your face.

That includes your upper cheekbones. brow bones, down the center of your nose, and your Cupid’s bow.

Honey Star

Next, Honey Star, a golden peach shade, has a radiant finish.  Also, Honey Star is for medium light to medium complexions.  Personally, I love to wear this shade all over my face.  This is because it gives me an ethereal, lit from within, sunkissed glow.  Also, as I’ve already mentioned, you can mix two shades together.

As a result, you can create an altogether different shade.

Cosmic Rose

Finally, the third shade, Cosmic Rose, a bronzed rose shade, has a radiant finish. Furthermore, if you are going to wear this shade as a setting powder, then, Cosmic Rose is for medium deep to deep skin tones.  Or, if you are working with two or more shades, wear Cosmic Rose as a contour to add a multidimensional effect to your face. You can add dimension by going lighter or deeper for a multidimensional effect.  Also, I love it as a cheek topper, on the apples of my cheeks.

My Final Thoughts On The Laura Mercier Light Catcher Setting Powder…..

Obviously, I purchased all three shades.  The reason was, I wanted to create highlights, and contours with the powders.  Have fun with these beautiful powders.  Wear them to set your makeup.  Also, wear them to create multidimensional effects on your face.  Even more, the radiant satin finish has a shimmery effect.

Also important to reiterate, the finish is in no way metallic.  A little powder goes a long way!  You can build the powder for more intensity.  Finally, the powders are great for nighttime glam looks.
