Even more, Cushion compact foundations offers a buildable finish since the compact releases the perfect amount of makeup each time you press down on the cushion. You can use it for a lightweight, glowing makeup look or layer the product for fuller coverage. Recently, Chantecaille, the luxury and philanthropic beauty brand launched their own cushion, the Chantecaille Future Skin Cushion.
Other brands with Cushion Compact Foundations include the Dior Dream Skin Cushion, and the Tom Ford Soleil Hydrating Cushion. Also, brands like Lancome and YSL have their own Cushion foundations. The Chantecaille Future Skin Cushion Packaging
One thing that makes the Skin Cushion desireable is the way it is packaged. The cushion comes in a silver mirrored compact. with a silver elephant on the center of the white lid. The reason for the elephant is, the philanthropic company gives part of the proceeds of the Skin Cushion to protecting elephants. Each sale will provide one bottle for a motherless infant elephant.
Even more, the writing on the compact, and on the white outer box, is in silver. 
Also, to open the compact, push on the silver mechanism at the bottom of the compact. In order to close the compact, simply press the lid down until you hear it click closed.
Once inside the compact, on one side is a full-sized round mirror. On the other side, is a foam application sponge. More, the sponge is sitting inside a circular well. 
However, when you remove the sponge, you realize that the well is, in fact, another lid. The reason for this lid is to keep the foundation sponge wet and clean. 
The first time you lift this lid, you come to a foil-covered sponge. 
This is where the liquid foundation sponge sits. 
Finally, you also get a refill sponge.
As a result, you are getting two times the foundation for the compact. Now you know why the Cushion is so expensive. 
One, the compact is slightly more complicated than simply putting in a pan of foundation. 
And, two, you get a refill foundation sponge.
The Formula For The Chantecaille Future Skin Cushion
To begin with,the Future Skin Cushion has a water-based formula. Even more, the formula is hydrating. Also, you can achieve light to medium coverage. Additionally, the formula is long-wearing, lasting about 8 hours. Even more, the formula has a Botanical Film Former. First, this film provides an instant shield against soot and urban dust.
Second,it smooths your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines. Last,it prolongs the staying power of your makeup.
Next, the formula includes stem cell extracts that work to soften fine lines.
The Chantecaille Future Skin Cushion Shades
First, there are only 8 Future Skin Cushion Shades. Now, you must be thinking why so few choices? 
According to the brand, all of the shades are very forgiving, designed to adapt to multiple skin tones. Therefore, you really can’t mess up choosing the right shade. I purchased the shade Nude.
First, Nude, a medium shade with soft rose undertones, has a satin finish. 
A lot of the different Skin Cushions have a dewy finish.

My Final Thoughts On The Chantecaille Skin Cushion…..
First,I love that the formula offers more anti-aging ingredients than other brands. Second, I love how convenient and easy the cushion compact is. 
One, it allows you to transport a liquid formula, in a compact. No spills, no mess! Two, it is easy to use for travel, touch-ups, and just carrying the compact in your handbag. Finally, the thing I love most about any Chantecaille product is, the fact that part of the proceeds go to saving endangered species. This time, Chantecaille has partnered with the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, to help with orphaned baby elephants.
