Do you need a fast and fun gift that keeps on giving? I receive a different Birchbox every month, and each box come curated with a different theme. It is a fun way to try out new products. Because I chose the Curated box, which comes with 5 new products to sample every month, I am always surprised because the mystery of the curated box is I receive a single sample choice and four mystery items. It is a lot of fun to do it this way. The other way to receive Birchbox is to know exactly what you are getting. I do not do it this way because I enjoy the mystery items. You can choose, and you can choose the type of gift subscription you would like to give. Birchbox Subscriptions can be done instantly. One month is $10 for one box. There are 5 products for you to test out every month. They are always different. I never know what four of them are. This month, because it is the holiday season, there was a sixth item in the box!
The sixth item, the big surprise is a round mirror the size of a ‘Vote For Trump’ item. It came inside the Shine On! envelope in peach with white writing.
Juliette has a gun Not A Perfume came in a department store size throw-away teeny weeny spray. It came in a nice box, so that must have been considered good-enough to include in the box. I do like the brand Juliette has a gun because they use a base note ingredient, and that is it. One ingredient! Unique, huh? Very Simple, easy scent to wear, especially if you do not like wearing perfume. It is minimalist, fresh and clean.
The Organic Pharmacy uses cutting edge technology in their organic products. Double Rose Rejuvenating is a Face Cream that is for a radiant, glowing complexion. It is a sample size, .24 oz. I would not consider this to be a deluxe sample size. It is a lovely cream that makes my face feel soft and smooth. It is made with 92.05% organic ingredients. I didn’t like the scent of it at all. It had a strong, rose scent that was way too strong a smell for me.
Marcelle CC Cream with complete Correction Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF is also .24oz. It is a tinted cream that gives you a beautiful golden glow. It is a true complexion illuminator, formulated with 25K Pure Gold , and theselight-reflecting gold pigments act as an antioxidant that reduces the look of wrinkles, and instantly creates glowing skin. I liked that the cream didn’t have a scent, it was perfume free, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist tested on sensitive skin. It has multi-benefits which include the correction and help to reduce the appearance of dark spots and imperfections, gives you complete coverage, evens out skin tone and texture, controls shine, provides anti-dull radiant looking complexion, allows long-wearing lasting color, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and the look of aging. It offers immediate and intense hydration and improves the skin elasticity. It protects skin from environmental stressors that can cause the skin to dry, it offers immediate and intense hydrating benefits and soothes and calms dry skin. Seems like a great CC Cream. I love that it is formulated with a precious metal, 24K pure gold is awesome!
The Amika Bombshell Blowout Spray is 1 fl. oz so I would call this a deluxe sample. Great for travel, it is a hair spray that protects, adds texture and volume, and repairs the hair. It has a strong scent at first, and then the scent dissipates and becomes very faint. Use this on damp hair and blow it dry. It works!
Last, and my favorite item in the box is the Ardency Inn Modster . I love makeup products the most, and this was really the only color item! Who doesn’t love a black eyeliner pencil.
It is a deluxe sample size .028 oz. where the regular size is o.04 0z. It is Smooth, soft, and creamy. It glides on like ice skates on ice, and it is supercharged with pure pigments that give an incredible color payoff. It is waterproof, so it doesn’t budge and lasts a long long time!
If you need a last minute gift, or you just want to try the subscription box for yourself, it is fun to receive and try new products. Some of the sizes are ridiculously small, and throw-out-able. The deluxe sizes give you enough to get a feel for the product. The deluxe size is great for travel too. I enjoy getting “presents” and this is always a fun one- with lots of surprises.
