The jar looks like any ordinary cream eye shadow, but that is the only thing “cream eye shadowy” about it! Once you open the pretty jar, the formula creates the most unusual color and sheen that jiggles like pudding! I am talking about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss ($24).
The four shades are from top to bottom :
Spark – a warm champagne-golden hue
Frosted – a classic shade of rose-gold
Oil Slick – a duo-chrome shade that can look red, or greenish gold depending on the way you look at it
Bronzed – a rusted bronze metal
Left is Spark, Next is Oil Slick. Next is Bronzed, and last is Frosted.
The color I purchased is oil slick. It attracted me because it was the most unusual color.
This little pot is a gel-hybrid that goes on like a gel which is much lighter than an eye cream, and dries like a powder.
Oil Slick looks like the oil from a car, on the street in a puddle of rain water. I’ve always loved the colors that reflect from that puddle of rain water and oil. It has red and green and a combination of the two.
What I love about Butter London Glazen Eye Gloss in Oil Slick………is it really does look like an oil slick! It changes colors with the movement of my arm in the light. I think this is the ultimate cool-girl color. It looks even better on the eyes when the color changes, and shimmer, and glimmers, and shines, and looks wet!!! And remember, it goes on like a gel, and dries like a powder! And the shine it leaves is incredible. I love the wet look – don’t we all? And what’s great about it is it doesn’t move! Nope-it doesn’t budge, and it doesn’t crease! Apply it with your finger, and start in the inner eye lid and blend outwards. For a high metallic finish, just add a second layer. It is easy to blend, and layer. And I love that it is shimmery, shiny and smudge-able!
You Are Awesome!
